Great hotel

We were here for a stop on our cycling tour. The location is great, and the rooms are very clean. The staff is very nice and attentive. The breakfast is so great, it has no equal. Thank you to everyone for this stay.

Very good hotel right on the harbour

The Hotel zum goldenen Adler is a very well run hotel and solid hotel.
We were greeted very friendly, the room was clean and modern. Even our little dog was welcome.
For an overnight stay we did not miss anything. For a longer stay, however, we would miss a more comfortable seating outside of bed as well as a wardrobe. The breakfast buffet was very extensive and left nothing to be desired, even salmon and matjes were there. It was offered to prepare egg dishes fresh. The service staff are friendly and very professional throughout.
On the evening of our arrival we had dinner in the restaurant. The food was fresh and very delicious. The restaurant was very busy, so it was a bit noisy and hectic as the tables are very close together.
All in all we were very satisfied and would choose the hotel again on another visit to Emden.

rooms are average, the restaurant, hotel food has no regional fish quality

The hotel restaurant has had its best times, boring fish combos of plaice, redfish or similar are not a reputation for a regional fish restaurant. The prices for this kitchen high level , the taste not round, the side dishes mask the fish taste. Any change to the specified offer will be “rewarded” with a prize allowance. A treat for the system kitchen, where the chef is also not interested in the guest.

Romantic family hotel for mountaineers

On my way through, I stopped at the Hotel Goldenen Adler. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and furnished with great attention to detail. At the edge of the bed is even a motionlight that comes on immediately when you get up in the dark. Genial. The breakfast in the cozy restaurant was rich and the ambience very welcoming. The menu also looked very good, but unfortunately I arrived after a disastrous train journey five hours late and could not enjoy the certainly excellent cuisine. One thing you should be clear about in the Golden Eagle. You have to be well trained to reach the room via the steep stairs with unusually high steps. If you want to do this several times a day, you should have mountaineering ambitions. However, this will be pointed out when booking.

Very good, from reception to service to food

Very good and friendly service. The food tasted very good to my wife and me.
Highly recommended, will come back.
Have enjoyed the food very much, nice location with the museum port within sight and other sights in the immediate vicinity.
