Individually run hotel, lovingly designed, great breakfast with lots of homemade things, in the middle of downtown, beds very comfortable.

Hotel in the center just a little noisy
We booked the hotel in advance for us and three other families directly.
The hotel has suggested us via mail 4 rooms, all double rooms at the same price and a family room for 2 adults and one child.
We booked these with breakfast and parking.
On the day of arrival (Friday) we were greeted and briefed. What we noticed here strangely, that the common room (at the same time breakfast room) and the elevator were closed after 6 pm until early or if the reception is not occupied, you can not use any of it.
Two families have been given a room (10 and 11) facing the street, the other two facing the yard.
The room facing the street was functional, not particularly modern. The bathroom is very small. The fan in the bathroom makes a hell of a noise and the warm water has to run for a very long time.
This is nothing to the noise you hear from the street through the old and non-soundproofed windows. The tram and cars travel felt right through the room. The room heated up super quickly due to sun in the afternoon and evening. There is no air conditioning or fan.
Now it's even louder! Down in the hotel basement is a club that's open until 4 a.m. The bass you still feel in bed is nothing against the noise of clubgoers smoking and partying loudly right under the hotel window. Including pizza delivery on the sidewalk.
When checking out we were not asked if everything was ok. Nevertheless, our friends from room 11 told us everything described above and received the following response: The owner of the hotel is also the owner of the club.
"You can't do anything about it."
Besides, we could have chosen an expensive room to the courtyard. Unfortunately, that's not true, because we weren't offered it.
This is not a condition and cannot be expected of hotel guests with rooms facing the street.
Breakfast was ok. On Saturday a table for 9 people was provided for us, on Sunday no more. Makes you wonder why, is that hospitality?
Saturday the natural yogurt on the buffet was out, even on demand there was none. Fruit and boiled eggs were only available Sunday.
Besides us, two or three rooms were occupied.
So far we have always had good experiences when we booked directly instead of booking. Unfortunately, that was different this time.

Charming
A gem on the edge of Erfurt's Old Town not far from Cathedral Square.
Perfect location to explore the beautiful city.

Centrally located and well suited for a city break
Arrival:
Parking directly opposite the hotel, reception was extremely friendly, we were told everything in the hotel as well as sights. Good food tips for the evening. The location absolutely central, in 5 minutes downtown.
Rooms:
Well, it was probably one of the not yet renovated rooms, the view of the (polluted) conservatory not so great, but located to the rear and not so loud. The bed was ok.
Breakfast:
The breakfast room large and the tables not so tightly placed, on the buffet nothing was missing. That was good.
Value for money:
Absolutely fitting

Aussendarstellung passt nicht
Auch auf die Gefahr hin, dass unser Review mit einem zurückweisenden Feedback vom Hotel kommentiert wird, wie es einigen Kommentierenden vor uns erging, möchten wir unsere Bewertung abgeben und einige Hauptkritikpunkte nennen. Die Fehlerkultur, schon vor dem Einchecken Schuldzuweisungen an Dritte und die Belehrungen an Gäste, die in Portalen kritisches Feedback geben, erstaunen uns.
Vorab der Service war grundsätzlich freundlich, es gab Tipps für Restaurants und Unternehmungen, das können wir positiv anmerken. Ansonsten hat das Hotel sicher noch viel Potential, auch besonders im Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis bezogen auf die Ausstattung und Qualität. Die Eingangstür ist auf Grund der Witterung aktuell geschlossen, sodass Sie beim Einchecken anrufen müssen, dass sie da sind. Kein Problem, sollte aber durch eine Info kenntlich sein, da das Haus keine Glocke hat. Die Einrichtung besteht aus Discounter Möbelstücken, auch verbaute Materialien sind aus dieser Kategorie. Die Zimmertür zum Flur hatte oben und unten „Luftschlitze“ mit Durchblick, in der Dusche fehlte eine Abflussabdeckung, auch ist der Einstieg sehr hoch und die Fugen schon recht schmutzig. Die Fenster sind nicht mehr ganz dicht und die Hebel funktionieren nicht vollständig. Die Fußleiste zum Bad ist locker und eine Schraube stand locker heraus – Verletzungsgefahr. Wir kamen an, hatten unsere Taschen schon um 13:00 abgestellt, man wusste also, dass wir kommen und trotzdem war um 15:00 das Zimmer vollkommen ungeheizt. Die Heizung war komplett ausgestellt, bei minus 7 Grad Außentemperatur waren Zimmer und Raum vollkommen ausgekühlt. Zum Bett, der Topper war sehr weich (möglicherweise Geschmacksache) und rutschig, es gab auch nur sehr dünne Sommerdecken. Jeden Morgen / Abend musste man das Wasser im 3. Stock mehr als 5 Minuten laufen lassen, dann wurde es langsam lauwarm – Kommentar beim Check-in: Das liegt an unserem Vermieter, er baut keine Zirkulationspumpe ein. Ein weiterer Kommentar bei Check-in war, dass der Aufzug nicht fertig sei, hier sollen wir uns bei Thyssen-Krupp beschweren, falls wir damit Probleme hätten. Das Hotel hat nur wenige Parkplätze, meine Bitte nach Vorreservierung wurde bei der Buchung nicht kommentiert, heißt wir hatten keinen Parkplatz als wir ankamen, was wir aber bis dahin nicht wussten. Dies ist aber kein Problem, da das Parkhaus am Dom perfekt ist. Jetzt im Dezember zur Weihnachtsmarktzeit und zu anderen Veranstaltungen am Domplatz ist die Straße vor dem Hotel gesperrt bzw. nur einseitig befahrbar, was die Anfahrt etwas herausfordernd macht, aber nicht unmöglich. Es wäre allerdings hilfreich (gewesen) eine solche Situation dem Gast vorher per Mail zu kommunizieren. Positiv anzumerken ist noch die zentrale Lage am Domplatz.
