Beautiful nature-loving weekend

We wanted to hike through the Devil's Gorge and ended up in the destinature in search of a nearby overnight stay. Since we are always looking for unusual overnight stays this "huts" has us very much.
The booking was done quickly and arrived Friday in the late afternoon everything was already prepared. We were greeted very friendly. Somewhat unusual for us was that there were 3 people behind the counter, but there was only one cash register. So we waited on both sides of the counter until the till was free for us. The wait for the free cash has been going on all along.
The park/complex is surrounded by nature and a little bit from the village. We felt the facility was well maintained, and the cottages, although actually quite small had enough space for us. Ok the built-in bathroom was not there, but a shared bathroom, which was not a problem for us in itself, but here a small renovation would not be a bad idea.
We will not visit the gorge again, although we enjoyed the hikes. But if we did, we would certainly consider destinature again.

Just once. Filthy.

It's messy. It's messy. Staff not very friendly and competent. Sanitation is really just really gross. There is no cleaning

Annoyed ‘’care’’ at early arrival

We should stay for one night in the holiday village in our roof tent after a wedding in the area. We booked a parking space. Since the wedding started at 13h30, we drove to the holiday village around 1h to find out where our pitch would be, because we knew that we could not come by before the night. At the booking confirmation it was clear that you will be looked after from 11h30 at the reception, but at the online check-in after 17h it was out... We thought it would be ok to go by already at 13h in person to get information. At the reception we also found a young woman who, after a friendly question from our side whether she worked here or was just a guest, looked on relatively annoyed and thought at the moment she was just a guest?! After further question from us she then shared with us she would work here, but was just taking a break, with questions about the accommodations we should come after 16h30. I explained our situation and that we certainly do not want to disturb further but it would not be possible for us to come by after 16h30. From the point of view of the still visibly annoyed young woman it was still not possible to give us even the pitch number despite our explanations. We were not really told how to proceed, after further inquiries from us we were then told to call after 16h30 or send an email. After this short frustrating situation we later cancelled our booking, it was honestly too stupid for us to receive an email or phone information 3 hours later after we were there in person.
