You can find our hotel on the outskirts of Feuchtwangen surrounded by huge old trees. It has been built in 1819 and in 1999 we started our hotel business. Today it is a beautiful country house.

Nice stay as a family

Thomas is such a friendly and competent host! The food in the Walkmühle was simply great and the rooms were lovingly designed and kept very clean.
What we particularly liked: The restaurant is very child-friendly. And you could immediately tell that children are very welcome here.

Great Place

Great place to stay would highly recommened a stop or two. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The owner Thomas and the locals were very welcoming. The rooms were tidy and clean. We can not wait to come back.

True Germany

Very nice gasthof placed in the country side. The place is near exit Feuchtwangen, a long the romantic strasse. The rooms are wide and clean. We eat at the local restaurant and we were very satisfied about quality and quantity. The price is honest.

Friendly owner and staff

Quaint little guest house on the edge of town, peaceful and quiet. Very popular dining spot for the locals, the owner is an awesome guy very welcoming. The food in the restuarant is excellent. Only cold breakfast available. The WiFi is really poor, weak signal weak connection poor speeds.

Relaxing Countryside Escape with the Best Breakfast in Bavaria

We used this excellent little hotel as a base to explore Nuremberg and also to visit Playmobil Fun-Park. If you have a car then it is just a quick drive on the Autobahn to reach either. The hotel is really an old-fashioned inn and has a tremendous amount of charm and character. It is by no means luxurious but very comfortable and relaxing. As an old watermill it is beautifully situated by a small stream at the outskirts of the village. The village itself is not interesting so you stay there as a stop on the Romantic Road or to explore the surrounding areas. The beds are very comfortable and the restaurant serves hearty German cuisine which is very well prepared and tremendously tasty. Especially the breakfast is quite outstanding. The quality and selection at the breakfast table almost made the stay worthwhile by itself.
