Excellent!

We ended up here by accident and ate. The food was excellent, everything freshly prepared, good ingredients! Mega delicious. The dining room is friendly and cozy and the host super nice. Highly recommended.

Eat well and sit comfortably

Were for food in the monastery courtyard and were received by the host very friendly. In the cozy dining room we enjoyed a really neat, inexpensive and plentiful meal - freshly prepared and very tasty. For a delicious dessert we unfortunately had “no more capacities”;-) The host helped us further with a round of “digestives” on the house. Thank you so much! I'd love to go again.

Abgewirtschaftet

Ich kann die weitgehend guten Bewertungen, insbesondere für das Essen, nicht nachvollziehen. Zunächst zum Hotel: Zimmer für Landgasthof ok, sauber, einfach, ruhig. Alt natürlich. Der ausgewiesene "Flachbildfernseher" hatte die Größe eines PC-Bildschirms und stand auf dem Schrank. Bettwäsche aus reinem Polyester und alle Wäsche sehr stark parfümiert, also Achtung. Der Betreiber versuchte zunächst mehr zu kassieren als den Booking-Preis (58 statt 52) für das EZ mit Bad. Ich empfand ihn als bemüht freundlich, aber unterschwellig irgendwie aggressiv. Es wurde gleich am Abend kassiert, da "ich morgen früh nicht da bin". Das Frühstück hätte ich mir bei einer angeschlossenen Metzgerei etwas anders vorgestellt. Kalte Eier, Wurst aus Packungen und die Marmeladen in Gastrogrößen. Überhaupt sehr viel Packung, wir kommen zum Essen abends im Restaurant. Eine unglaublich umfangreiche Speisekarte und nur ein Mensch in der Küche. Auf der Karte viel Italienisches und ein paar Pfälzer Spezialitäten. Das Tagesgericht, ein Rinderburgunderbraten für stolze 16,90 Euro, angepriesen als "total zart" hätte alle Personen ab 60 bereits vor unlösbare Herausforderungen gestellt. Das Messer hat den Kampf tapfer aufgenommen und beinahe verloren. Die Bratkartoffeln zu fett und nicht knusprig, das gemischte Gemüse aus der Tiefkühlpackung, die Soße ebenfalls aus der Tüte, noch nicht mal verfeinert. Laut Aussage eines anderen Gastes waren die Eierspätzle unterirdisch und das Steak so entsetzlich, dass sie die Hälfte stehen gelassen haben. Panna cotta, angeblich selbstgemacht, kostete 5,90, also fast 6 (!) EU für eine kleine (immerhin liebevoll hergerichtete Portion) und war geschmacklich ok. Aber genauso überteuert wie die Suppen, die 6,50 kosten sollten. Fazit: Vielleicht war das mal gut, ist aber nicht mehr zu empfehlen.

war früher besser

keine Haxen auf der Karte, habe einige bayrische Gerichte vermisst, insoweit fand ich die Karte spärlich. Hat aber nicht schlecht geschmeckt. Preis stimmte auch. Früher war das Essen aber noch deutlich besser, deshalb bin ich extra dorthin gefahren. Gewölbekeller ist natürlich Klasse.

Super Küche

Sehrr zu empfehlen. Es werden auch regionale Spezialitäten angeboten. Sehr nett auch im Aussenbereich zu sitzen. Super empfehlung. Gehen immer wieder gerne hin. Es werden auch saisonale Gerichte angeboten. Immer auf die Angebote achten bringt echt was.
