Top equipped and modern apartment in great location
We stayed as a family recently 8 nights at the Cosy Grey Apartments - and really thrilled!
Our apartment was modern and in very clean condition. The kitchen (like the whole apartment) is well equipped, so we were able to fend for ourselves great. The air conditioning cools very well if necessary, which we could really use on some days. Even a washing machine with integrated dryer was usable (not in all apartments directly, but then definitely in the basement).
The location in Freiburg directly at Bertholdsbrunnen is very central and great for shopping and excursions, as there is a great connection by tram. Checking in and out is also well thought out and easy.
In addition, the employees were easily available at short notice if necessary, our extension request was processed promptly and very friendly. If we come back to Freiburg, we would book cosy grey again at any time.

Comfortable, spacious. perfectly located
The apartment was spacious and the bed and sofa were very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and the water pressure was strong. Located on a main road, once you close the foyer door behind you it is peaceful. We stayed two nights in one of the larger apartments and found the location perfect and the apartment easy to relax in after a long day. The apartment was mostly quiet with the exception of the first night when someone above us walked repeatedly back and forth in their stocking feet, which kept my husband awake. There is a wonderful pastry/sandwich shop just next door for breakfast or lunch. Definitely check out Schmidt's Cafe across the street. The old city center, main shopping district, and train station are all an easy walk. Highly recommend!
If you request an early check-in, be sure to confirm with the host. We had requested an early check in as we were coming in to Freiburg off an overnight flight from the States followed by a layover and plane change in London. We were unable to access our keys from a timed lockbox to get into the apartment two hours earlier than the standard check-in time but had not received communication to that effect from the host. Fortunately, we were able to store our luggage in the laundry room while we walked around town until able to check into the apartment.
All said, I would stay there again.

A nice surprise.
In an excellent location in the middle of Aldstadt, Freiburg, Cosy Grey Apartments are a perfect base from which to explore the area. A few minute walk from the train station. Shops and restaurants everywhere, a young vibe due to the nearby university, and lots to see and do. The apartment was spotlessly clean, and tastefully furnished. The system for checking in with a pin code to receive our door key was easy and convenient. The tram runs by frequently right in front of the building but the sound is hardly noticeable with the well-insulated walls and windows. We’d definitely stay there again.
