A heat that brings a chill.

The hotel presents itself in a quite honorable manner with friendly staff, very decent dining, modernly designed rooms, and a satisfying spa area. However, the absence of air conditioning, particularly in the rooms, undermines all the efforts of the staff. During a heatwave, the stifling heat, the lack of air, and also the absence of a refrigerator capable of cooling the only bottle of sparkling water provided, which is therefore at room temperature, fulfilled the promise of a sleepless night felt upon arrival. At the reception, you will be told with dismay that unfortunately, the rooms are indeed not air-conditioned.
This mention should be specified in the brochure. Too bad, the potential is there.

Pretty but a bit remote

Just outside Freudenstadt is this pretty little hotel with simple but functional rooms. Unfortunately, a refrigerator is missing.The building is a bit winding and confusingly laid out, but you can get directly to the rooms from the two-storey garage. In the basement are the indoor pool and the somewhat unlovingly furnished sauna facility. The restaurant serves excellent and tasty regional dishes and a generous breakfast buffet.

Short break, unfortunately very unsatisfactory. Renovation jam and hygiene especially at the pool disastrous.

Room half-heartedly renovated. Breakfast manageable. Tables in the restaurant wobbled partly but the staff in the restaurant very nice. Dinner was good but additionally nothing was brought with the half board menu except sauce. For 42€ quite a shame. Spa area terrible with mold, broken loungers, rusting radiators and rotting door frames. Stains on walls, dirt that lay in the hallway for three days.

Nice hotel

Lovely little hotel in Freudenstadt.
Could have received a bit of a warmer welcome when we arrived a little too early, but to be honest the lady did redeem herself later on.
Room was very nice with views over the grounds.
Lovely big shower room, one of the best I’ve had in a hotel.
Breakfast was ok, not a lot of pastry choices but was acceptable.
