Very good place to stay for work

I have stayed here for 2 weeks the Internet is free the food is very good the price is good but there is nothing to do here so as the title says it good if your here for work or for family. The train line is just a 2 min walk away with very good links to bigger places
I would stay here again as the staff make the place very friendly

Comfortable and quaint

This hotel isn't actually in Friedberg--it's in Dorheim (a smaller town on the outskirts of Friedberg). Staff is very helpful and can accommodate English. Very nice restaurant in hotel--included breakfast buffet was very good! Room and beds very comfortable. A little street traffic noise, including several large beverage trucks from nearby plant, but not to the point of keeping us awake (our room faced the street; other rooms were probably quieter). A few extra touches: vending machine downstairs, maps and tourist info. posted near lobby, bookshelf on 2nd floor filled with books to read, internet available for small fee, free parking, shampoo provided. Staff brought iron and ironing board to our room upon request. Would definitely recommend this very reasonably priced hotel.

Nice hotel, but the location isn't ideal

My family stayed in the triple room, located in a separate building from the hotel. Since the room was it's own detached building, I thought - pretty cool. That is until I discovered that I could not connect to their internet modem. It only cost 2 euro for a day, but having to use it in the biergarten and not in your private room is a bummer. The room was fine, bathroom modern. The pillows were way, way too flat. I've stayed in many European hotels, and the pillows were like mini-comforters (about 2 inches thick). Grrr. Ate at the restaurant here. Ample portions, solid German food, lots of pork (wot?) on the menu. Breakfast was typical German...good, but nothing to brag about. Now the location...it's in a village called Dorheim located 2 km outside of Friedberg. And it's 3 km of farm road, meaning stay in Friedberg (worth a couple of hours, not an overnighter) if that's what you're there for. Dorheim has nothing of interest. For those that don't know, Elvis Presley was stationed at an old Army post located in Bad Nauheim. If your interest is that, stay in that town (another couple of hours town), as that's 6 km away. And it's about a 40 minute drive to the Frankfurt airport, the main reason I stayed there.

Positiv ist, dass das Personal äußerst freundlich ist und das Zimmer sehr sauber war. Angenehm ist auch, dass man einen sehr großen Fernseher auf dem Zimmer hatte, der sogar Sky Empfang hatte. Alles andere ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Die Einrichtung wurde ganz sicher seit den 80er / 90er Jahren nicht mehr erneuert. Die Kissen waren wie ein Bezug befüllt mit sehr viel Watte. Man hatte ein bisschen Jugendherbergsfeeling. Die ganze Unterkunft hat einen komischen Geruch und im Restaurant riecht es nach altem Fett (Abluft scheint nicht zu funktionieren). Das Frühstück war ok, aber auf keinen Fall 8€ wert. Ich würde lieber 5€ mehr ausgeben und dafür bessere Qualität und regionale Waren bekommen. Morgens wurde vor unserem Fenster immer Lärm gemacht - keine Ahnung ob von Gästen oder dem Personal, aber wir wurden leider dadurch immer sehr früh und unsanft geweckt. Zusammenfassend würde ich sagen, dass es schön wäre, wenn die Zimmer mal eine Renovierung erfahren würden und die Abluft instandgesetzt werden würde. Denn ansonsten ist das sicherlich ein klasse Familienhotel.

Geschäftsreise

Das Personal ist recht freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Die Zimmer sind ok und je nach Unterbringung ruhig, im Sommer hört man die Bahn wenn man die Seite nach vorne erwischt.
Der Biergarten ist ok, das Essen auch. Das Preisgefüge aber im oberen Bereich für die Art Küche.
WLAN leider z.T. instabil.
Frühstücksbüffet Standard und gut, aber auch nichts spezielles, aber auch hier ist Personal flexibel. Tageszeitungen auch vorhanden.
Parkplatz kostenlos im Innenhof und außen.
