Parkhotel Fulda (Kolping): Cheap hotel for a city tour with good location

The hotel was a bit sceptical, as it was a bit mixed. Overall I can recommend the hotel. It is located on the edge of the city center, so you can reach it on foot. There are many restaurants and pubs in the city centre. The single room was small but ok if you are only there at night anyway. The price is cheap for that. At night it was quiet (room was in the backyard). Breakfast was good, the choice neither too little nor too lush. The only criticism was that you couldn't regulate the shower properly; it was a bit too warm. Parking is in the yard.

We felt very comfortable

We were a group of 4 couples and all had very nicely renovated rooms. The staff is very friendly and competent, especially in the restaurant. The food we all liked very well and the value for money fits. We will definitely come back.

Reception was air conditioned on a warm day with professional and welcoming staff and room key within a minute. The room is ideal, quiet with good WiFi and a ten minute walk from the historic town.

Very good mid-range conference hotel

A quiet hotel that belongs to the Kolpingverbund. It is modernized and corresponds to a very good mid-range hotel. I can't give a top rating of 4 stars because I'm a wheelchair user and I had some problems opening quite a few heavy false doors. Great that other guests were kind enough to help me there. The meeting rooms are large well furnished and also technically very well equipped. The breakfast in the hotel's restaurant was well stocked, fresh, delicious and rich - everything there that your heart desires.
The hotel is very well run, the rooms are tip-top clean, the house-keeper is friendly and does a very good job, as do the always very friendly and helpful staff at reception. All in all a conference hotel of the very good middle class.

It gets worse instead of better

Some of the rooms are getting clatterier and even the windows are leaking. The water soon trickles out of the shower and at the breakfast table you find sugar shakers in front of which have not been cleaned for ages. It's a shame it's getting worse and worse.
