Always happy to...

We have been traveling for a long time to the event weekends, meanwhile befriending some couples you meet there again and again. Surroundings very nice and you can make great bike rides.
Room clean and functional, staff always friendly and eager to help. Breakfast and dinner in buffet form where I missed tomatoes, cucumbers and grapes the last time, but taste very good.
In summer we have our bikes with us, although the hotel advertises it, the bike shed is a joke, max. 8 wheels fit in. Unfortunately, this is due to the main headquarters which is not responding although the hotel management would like an extension. For 2026 we have already envisaged 5 events and will gladly come back.

Hotel maximum for one night

First, one thing that stands out - the last 3 5-star reviews are from the same person - that should make you think.
Location: This is actually very good, walking distance to the bell palace and the mill museum and also the castle and the old town are not too far away.
Parking: A fairly large parking space and therefore rather problem-free, parking is free.
Reception: Busy from 15:00 until ???, anyway in the morning nobody is there, at checkout (until 10:00) you just throw the key card in a box - typical austerity, unfortunately. Everything actually trimmed for cost savings, even a written request after booking went unanswered. At the reception a bar, which is unfortunately closed. Opposite the reception a drinks vending machine, which (at least during our visit) indicated “empty” for everything except water. That's great!
Building: A dreary building, the long and sober hallways are not really inviting.
Sauna / Pool: They are probably available, I can't say anything about the quality, but for the sauna are charged 10€ per person per day (hadn't seen any information about it in advance) and the best - the pool is closed for technical reasons - also without notice during the booking, on the contrary, with the pool is also advertised!
Rooms: We had a “better” room, the equipment as described, clean, with bathrobes, but without bath slippers - I never had that before, actually you always have bath slippers with you with the bathrobe, but ok - was not explicitly mentioned... No air conditioning, when the window is open you can sleep if there is not music playing in the tent behind the hotel. The beds are super soft and therefore probably not suitable for everyone.
Breakfast: Simple, rather disappointing for us. It is offered from 06:30-10:00 her. Almost every table was reserved at about 07:45 (several tour groups) and it was hard to find a place - in my view a no-go. Absolutely no vegetables, except watermelon was the fruit from canned food.
Bottom line - for a night in transit it's ok, but nothing more.

Our second stay. But still the service is not up to standard.
At the breakfast you are met with tables with reservations on them and you have to look for a table that is free. They all looked reserved. No help from the staff
Toilet paper is a cheap fabric.
The photos make it look like there’s a nice bar. But that’s not the way it is when you are there

I booked by hotel.com for a business trip specifying to pay at the hotel. In the end, the payment was debited directly from my card even though it was reserved for another person and I was not there!! and the collegue paid for me, we paid twice

Hotel for a weekend

First impression: Reception not staffed (cost reasons??) Second impression: Hotel , and public areas (WC) very clean.
When we came back from our bike tour in the evening, the reception was busy and we got our room card. The room itself was quite large, clean and functional, but without balcony. Bathroom was also, apart from a fairly small shower, fine with appropriate storage facilities.
Breakfast for value for money absolutely fine. Dinner in buffet form has potential upside, sometimes tasteless and bland. The food from the menu very overpriced and also without seasoning.
