Nice quiet location with lots of ambiance

Nice hotel 20 minutes walk from downtown Goslar, in wooded area .Large parking for car and coach, motorcycles are in front of the rooms. Good bed, spacious room with closet and TV, very neat room.Good breakfast buffet with lots of fresh products.very friendly and helpful staff. Large bar and large terrace.Come back gladly.

Simple accommodation with enough parking spaces.

Simple but authentic. The rooms are kept very simple. Sufficient parking, food has a fair price-performance ratio. You have to drive to Goslar, as the hotel is relatively remote.

Too high-priced

We (a group) have been to the Harzlodge several times in recent years and were always satisfied. Only this time we were disappointed. The Harzlodge cries out for renovation - both from the outside and from the inside. Worn-out rooms; sloping beds, carpeting thin and already transparent in some places! Far too little lighting in the room -> in the entrance area you stand in the dark! Absolute cheekiness was that on Saturday and Sunday you only had warm water to shower at 7 am. This makes no sense if breakfast is offered from 7am. For the restaurant area, it would be desirable if more light were available in the morning. For festivities, this darkened atmosphere is certainly nice, but unsuitable if you can hardly see what is on the plate in the morning. In addition, the entire restoration area would have to be urgently renovated or cleaned! The cobwebs are extremely comfortable and the dusty decorative items would be happy to be cleaned. The staff: the receptionist was not at all facing - you did not feel welcome! Too bad, because these people belong to the first impression! Outstanding was the young always friendly staff, who took care of the physical well-being from 3 pm! The lady had fun at work, nothing was too much for her - just great

Stay away, and you won't get angry.

Underground service, that started with unwanted dozens, then ordered food, after 10 minutes comes the same guy, whether I had already voted, I cancelled and demanded the bill to bring starting shots, the waiters were bored behind the counter, older guy did not hear it that I wanted to pay, but confirmed that the bill would come.
Food from the menu not available (sour roast) no idea if there are still trout, other guests also had to ask several times,...
I'm from Goslar and wanted to go somewhere else and enjoy the evening. Conclusion: Goslar is full of capable hosts, they definitely won't see me here again.

Hidden motorcycle gem

This is not a hotel, it's a village in retro style - and I love it!
Focus is on motorcycle riders, and then mainly groups, since the capacity is big and breakfast plus dinner is available.
Location is off everything. But, there is a bus stop very close and you get to ride free all over Harz on your entire stay. Buses are very frequent and Goslar just minutes away.
The lost star in my review is because there is no bar. Everything is served to the table. As a lone rider, it is impossible to meet new friends, hanging by the bar. So my advice is strong: GET A BAR! You would easily sell more and guests could interact. See you again when you open the bar!
