Great location, wonderful ambience and great service. We felt very comfortable. The whole hotel is very spacious and appealing.

Absolute disappointment

At first sight, the hotel itself makes a good impression, the decor is generally stylish, the bar very nice.
Everything else definitely leaves something to be desired. The rooms are nicely decorated but not clean. There is black mold in the shower and hair from the previous guest can be found. When we came to the room on the second day, no cleaning took place in our absence. On request we were told that the rooms are not cleaned every day, so no towels are changed, etc.
We were shocked, an absolute NO GO for a 4 star hotel. The mattress was sagged and the balcony furniture full of dust and pollen.
The armchairs on the first floor weren't cleaned for ages either, you couldn't sit down there because of the thick layer of dust.
Now for dinner, which was UNDERGROUND. Both breakfast and dinner. No choice and not a little taste of food. We haven't had such a bad meal in any hotel.
The reception staff speaks very bad German, in Bavaria I didn't expect this, very disappointing.
The sauna area is nice, but the showers stink. Cleaning staff we never saw there. There are no scents or anything in this direction, everything is made very loveless.
Also disappointing that this area is only open from 3pm to 10pm, so all guests roam there from 3pm to dinner.
All in all, we are extremely disappointed and it is incomprehensible that such a beautiful hotel is being run down like this!
Although the location is good and the small lake is really nice, you can only advise against going on holiday here at the moment.

Short breaks

Booked by my dearest at short notice, also calling for a great offer, we had such a nice time that it can almost not be described in words. It was incredible the hotel the room the entire staff the surroundings where we were allowed to discover from now on our enthusiasm for hiking (even after the Höllental gorge ), and so would like to come back there. Thank you very much for this great experience. Room 010

This may be my favorite hotel of all time. I will continue to come back to this hotel for future visits. It is simply gorgeous and has wonderful amenities.
