Family run Gasthaus very pleasant

We stayed here for 6 days as we toured the Black Forest.
The accommodation is wonderful. The room is spacious, the duvets are warm and cozy and the rooms were kept neat and tidy every day. The bathroom is a bit small, but it's all kept spotless and everything worked as expected. As a special treat, the hostess put out easter chocolates and eggs for us as it was the Easter weekend.
The bar and restaurant are very nice. They have a daily special menu and like most places you're better off ordering off the daily menu as it's fresher. It was Asparagus season, so there were lots of choices. The beer selection was pretty good but the locals may have hit on something as they all seem to order small Pils because it "tastes fresher". I tried some of the other beers and maybe they are right.
The food was elegantly prepared, the salads were excellent, the dressing was really good. Perhaps the food was a bit expensive, but there were many locals who came in while we were there and the choice was really impressive given how small the town was. One unfortunate was that we would have loved to use the Biergarten, however the weather did not cooperate. Nico and Daniela were very available and we chatted with them many times. They are really, really nice people and we're not surprised that they get so much support from their neighborhood. All the staff were nice to us, especially our server Kirstin, who was so patient with us and helped us with our German and more.
If you'd like the real Gasthaus experience when visiting Offenburg, you will really appreciate choosing this lodging. We will definitely be back the next time we're in the area.

While in Offenburg

We enjoyed our room here. We had one of the larger rooms. No AC so we had to keep our window open, since we had a street view we caught the traffic noise. Nice view out the window at the church across the street. The room was very clean and cleaned every day.

Perfect Over Night Stop

Travelling from Morzine in France to Koln in Germany after Christmas in the Alps we were looking for a quiet and comfortable hotel at a reasonable price.
We stumbled on Grafs Adler and were glad we did. The room was clean, comfortable and of a good size. The restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings so we wern't able to try it out (it was suggested that we ate at a small Italian retaurant about 200m away which we did, good food and reasonable price.
We arrived at the hotel whilst the lunch was being served and the restaurant was full so it appears that the locals rate it. The menu certainly was appealing. Will stop again when the restaurant is open. A very good breakfast was served by freindly staff.

One Nighter

Only stayed one night while visiting the area. Our first impressions were not good as the girl who greeted or didnt greet us as it happened , was a sour puss. We arrived to early and it might not be possible to eat in the restaurant as it was busy. Thank God for the owner he sorted things out quickly. Why oh why do hotels employ people with no people skills.
Now for the good , the room was small but perfectly OK for one or two night stays and was perfectly clean. Did miss tea or coffee making facilities but there was water in the room.
Dinner was superb both in service and quality , in fact I had the best peppered filet I have ever had , well done. Additionaly vegiterians are well catered for.
Breakfast was both hot and cold , if you want eggs in a special way , just ask.I defy anyone to go away hungry , thats how good it was. Congratulations to the breakfast lady , who was superb.
The hotel has no parking , but parking can be found close by. they also take dogs by arrangement.

We love this place

My family and I (2 adults, 2 children) have stayed here twice now while visiting family in the area, each time for about a week.
The hotel itself is perfectly situated as it's about 5 minutes from the people we visit, but also in touching distance of Offenburg, Strasbourg, EuropaPark, The Black Forest and just off the motorway leading to other major destination in the region.
The room we stayed in both times is more like an apartment, with 2 bedrooms (one of which has 2 bunkbeds for up to 4 children), a kitchenette and a big bathroom. The space is always immaculate and cleaned to a good standard daily.
The restaurant in the hotel is brilliant, always very busy at dinner and serves really good and fresh food, a great example of German food, which was definitely to our taste. There is a beergarden at the back, which is where we ate most of our dinners while there and is as nice a place as any to eat and relax at the end of the day.
I have nothing bad to say about the place, we all really enjoyed our stay and plan to stay there again and again.
