Accommodating, with northern German charm!

We ate at the Nobiskrug - home-style with an extra seasonal menu. The host opened the restaurant especially earlier - we felt very comfortable. A bit like mothers in the living room with fireplace and Christmas decoration.
The food was good and plentiful - price/performance is more than fair.
Mr. Lachmann has found new fans in our family. We would definitely come back.

Nice environment, hotel not recommended

Very unfriendly innkeeper. Breakfast was okay. You get filter coffee and the innkeeper sits in between in the dining room and sips a latte M.
Rooms were very uncomfortable old and partly unkempt.
I'm not going to give the house a second chance.
The environment is very nice by the way... the hotel I would avoid however.

On the way to the Baltic Sea

This 300-year-old historic reed-roofed half-timbered house is located directly on Lake Ratzeburg. Surrounded by rich and varied landscapes, ideal for cyclists and hikers.
But this inn was interesting for us for another reason: coming from the Ruhr area and on the way to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Darss, Rügen, Usedom etc. it offers the ideal stopover for one night.
The hotel and the rooms were cozy. The restaurant was equipped with many historical works and created a friendly and homely atmosphere, not least due to the friendly hospitality of the host.
We loved the food, especially the Colorful Salad with a very excellent balanced dressing. The schnitzel “Wiener Art” was also impressive.
We can only recommend the location. The hotel is also just 2.5 km from the A 20 motorway.

Historic hotel/restaurant with charm and very nice people.

Very nice staff and a hotel manager with a good sense of humor. We were well received with our two dogs. You can sit outside very nicely and enjoy your coffee or food there. The historic hotel has its charm, which is evident in the restaurant. We found it very cozy, you had enough to look and read if you are interested in the history of the hotel. The rooms were clean (outbound and return travel each different room), the bathrooms modern equipped. If you expect a super modern hotel here, this is the wrong place. We didn't mean to. The family atmosphere was important to us and that's what you get here. The cake/coffee all top. The food was great, again a praise to the chef. Breakfast perfectly sufficient. Anyone who complains about a missing egg should ask themselves what should be on the breakfast table in times of intolerance and allergies. There is the option of what to order, but the better option than throwing everything in the bin because it is not eaten. We would definitely book here again if we are in transit to Meck-Pomm. For our dogs a nice walk around the lake was a great thing. If you wanted, you could bathe there, very clear water. The lake can be seen from the hotel and is only a 5-minute walk away.

We found another place

We visited the place for a single night as we were going on to Berlin.
Good host and excellent food in the attached inn.
The room was worn and had a damp smell. Water is coming in through the window and there are patches of mold in several places. In addition, the duvet appeared with stains, which are dirty in the cupboards and drawers, and in the evening we could hear sounds of mice/rats crawling across the ceiling.
We chose to complain about this and the host was understanding and gave us the money back. We found another place for the night
