We had dinner at night - excellent.

The food was great. We had tartare as an appetizer and sour roast and deer as a main course. Just great! The service was friendly and fast. Highly recommended. With the beer, I would have liked something local. We have dessert. I've done more.

We did not feel comfortable and would not come back.

Price too high and the owner was extremely unfriendly. This is unacceptable. Room was okay, but the price is too high for this standard. The new shower does not make up for the fact that everything else around it is old. Beds are good and large; otherwise, the furnishings are worn out. No blackout curtains on the windows. The parking lot is brightly lit all night, and starting at 6 AM, the suppliers and even the owner's vehicles start up. This is very disturbing in an otherwise quiet location. The breakfast is excellent, very plentiful, and everything is of very good quality. The restaurant offers a rich selection and is very good. It has aged and has problems with the air conditioning.

Recommended

Very nice location. Directly near the border and not far from the Lausche observation tower. Very good food at (today) normal prices. The service was fast and attentive. The Beet Number Building is open all the time and card payment is possible here.

Great views, cool crisp air, good food and service, nice trails nearby...just refreshing. We really enjoyed the overall great hospitality. Highlights: the shower is amazing, the bathroom looks newly renovated and they had an elevator. No real downside other than I thought the bed was too firm but that's personal preference.
