We recommend!
Rather inconspicuous from the outside, right in the middle of Haibach. But super nice, modern rooms, beautifully furnished with a large balcony. There is an excellent restaurant in the house! Prices are appropriate for the quality, service is great!
Varied breakfast buffet with regional products.
Highly recommended!

Weekend stay in the Hotel Spessartstuben
The rooms are nicely furnished, all have en-suite and for €90 per night B&B it's excellent value for money!
On Friday evening we decided to dine in the hotel restaurant which is very tastefully decorated in traditional Bavarian wood intricately carved. We had a nice table in the corner and both of us had the steak meal on offer washed down with a nice bottle of Red. Afterwards we both had the crepes for a dessert which was a wonderful dish beautifully presented (see Photo) The meal for around €70 was much better quality and value than you can get back home.
Saturday morning after breakfast we went for a walk to the town, about 1,5 KL away and worked up an appetite for lunch. However on returning at Lunch time we were really surprised to find the restaurant was closed and not due to open until the evening. This was disappointing as we were really looking forward to lunch after the great meal we had on Friday night. We ended up eating back in the town as a lot of the local "eateries" seem to close on Saturday.
Sunday was much better as they were open for Sunday lunch which we enjoyed very much but beware they then close around 5.00pm so no availability for a sunday evening meal. this didn't bother us as we were eating at friends on Sunday evening but if you stay there you have to bear this in mind.
All in all a very pleasant stay, staff very helpful and courteous, food was very good (when the restaurant is open) and the rooms spotlessly clean. Goes without saying we would stay here again!

European Touring Holiday
We stayed at the Hotel Spessartstuben as it is en-route and we've stayed here before. The hotel is probably a 3 star and like most hotels in the area is more like a traditional UK boarding house. It has a nice breakfast room and an excellent dining room and bar area.
We arrived later than planned at 21.00 and were shown to our room which was fairly basic but very nicely furnished with traditional wooden bed frame and furniture beautifully carved by hand. The room was pleasant with its own en-suite, TV and tea making facilities. Wi-Fi was available after getting the code from reception.
We hadn't booked for dinner but they managed to find us a nice table and we had a typical Bavarian meal consisting of veal schnitzel, dumplings and red cabbage. Not exactly fine dining but adequate followed by the mandatory Apple strudel which was superb.
We stayed for 2 nights as we have some friends who live locally and were made to feel very much at home as the establishment is family run and the service was first class. Again for the purpose of our trip it was absolutely fine and very economical at just €90 B&B for both of us!
I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking to break your journey or perhaps want to have a look round the historic town of Aschaffenburg which is nearby and boasts 365 drinking/eating venues - one for every day of the year!
