Pure relaxation with lots of taste

Beautiful boutique hotel decorated with great taste. The equipment was very important to quality. Great gourmet breakfast, good wine selection in the wine shop. I would definitely stay again.

Departed with NOT A SINGLE tearful eye!

I can fully agree with Guthier's assessment.
Unfortunately, we were overall disappointed with our stay. The food during the cooking class was served only around midnight. Aside from the very late hour, the quality of the food unfortunately did not meet our expectations.
Additionally, there was an accident in the bathroom because the shower tray was extremely slippery. I slipped and fell in the shower, resulting in a bruise on my arm and a small skin injury.
We found the management's approach to be somewhat unfriendly and not particularly guest-oriented.
The breakfast did not convince us either. In terms of value for money, the selection was very limited. For example, no eggs were offered, and overall, the breakfast was rather plain.
An additional charge of €20 per night was applied for our small dog. However, we could not identify any noticeable additional services for this charge. Neither a dog bed, a blanket, nor other amenities such as a treat were provided. Moreover, dogs were not welcome in the common areas, as a corresponding sign explicitly pointed out.
Overall, we had expected much more from our stay and unfortunately could not justify the value for money.

You should hire a cook.

1. Room or hotel
The rooms are mainly nicely renovated with small negative anomalies,
so for example the shower cup in our room was absorbent.
It is suboptimal for a hotel if the daily cleaning/towel change is charged again extra.
2. Cooking class
Cooking class starts at 16:00
Dinner starts at 20:00
The schedule was just dismal. If you have to wait until 10:30 for the main course, this is clearly too late.
The food was not special, my wife cooks better and faster.
Maybe you should give the organizer, who I know has no cooking training,
give a cooking class.

Dreamlike break

The charming Julius in der Pfalz offers different room categories: Hotel rooms and apartments. The spacious apartments have a kitchenette and very good equipment for self-catering with dishes, pots, coffee machine, kettle etc. They are therefore also ideal for a longer stay or for the desire for more space. The hotel rooms are a little smaller but also equipped with Nespresso machine and refrigerator. Mineral water and wine are pre-cooled and available at a fair price (2 Euro for a 0.75l bottle of mineral water). The rooms are very well equipped and according to a motto e.g. a cloud wallpaper that invites you to dream matching sky blue chairs.... nice bathroom; the smallest room even offers a private balcony. After a good night's sleep, the breakfast is waiting, which is very lovingly arranged on one floor and changes daily. We felt completely comfortable and are already looking forward to our next break to dream in Julius in the Palatinate.

Favourite place

We regularly come to this extraordinary small boutique hotel 1-2x/year, often to the wine menus. Every time a treat, very elaborate and prepared with dedication by the hotel owner, with excellent wines. The whole ambience is lovingly and stylishly designed by the owner, just to feel good. Yes, the breakfast is “inflexible”, a beautifully designed floor stocked with small delicacies. No breakfast buffet, the coffee is brought. We love this. That's why we prefer such small special hotels. Hotels with loveless breakfast rooms where you have to put everything together yourself are plenty.
