Ich war für 2 Wochen in Hamburg und habe im Seehafen Hostel gewohnt.Die Lage ist nicht besonders,was aber mit Freundlichkeit und viel Hilfsbereitschaft wett gemacht wurde Die Zimmer sind nett eingerichtet,auch das Bad war gut. Nach Absprache wurden die Handtücher gewechselt und auch das Zimmer gereinigt.Es wurde Kaffee angeboten und auch ein Kühlschrank sowie Kochgelegengeiten gegeben.
Für ein Hostel war alles mehr als gut.
Ich komme bestimmt wieder.

Absolutely not! No parking available and unreachable by phone

The arrival at this accommodation was unfortunately an absolute disappointment. There is currently a construction site directly in front of the building, so you cannot drive there by car at all. You could have reached the accommodation on foot somehow – however, there was no possibility far and wide to park the car legally.
We were given Hafenstraße 1 as an alternative option. However, as the attached photos prove, large parts of it are subject to either an absolute no-parking zone or a restricted no-parking zone at completely impossible times (weekdays from 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.). Normal parking during our stay was therefore absolutely impossible.
We tried several times on site to reach the accommodation by phone to clarify where we could even park legally. However, despite repeated attempts, no one answered the phone.
Later, via Booking, came the brazen response from the booking portal: The accommodation had informed them that we should have simply parked on the sidewalk – a request to commit a clear administrative offense! Since there were no usable parking options and no one on site helped us by phone, we felt forced to cancel and find other accommodation on short notice. A free cancellation was refused, so we are now also stuck with the cancellation costs – and that for accommodation that we could not even use because of the impossible parking situation and the poor service. Absolutely not recommended as long as the construction site is there!
