The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, even lending us an umbrella for the morning on a rainy day.

Four stars is a joke for this accommodation

The outdoor facilities are unkempt, the canopy at the entrance is filthy- we were shocked that a "four" star hotel is in such an unkempt condition. The interior was a bit better, but it is not worth four stars. I have pictures with me where you can see how dirty the window frames in the room are. It just makes you shudder.

Simple hotel in a good location.

Well located at the Berliner Tor train station. Rooms are a bit dated and ours was very small, but perfectly adequate for a weekend. No air conditioning, but a fan was provided instead. Very friendly staff, responds quickly to inquiries.
We were there for the 2nd time and would stay there again.

Never again this hotel

The hotel cannot be recommended.
Nice upon arrival, wrong bill. We booked 2 double rooms and received small rooms (equivalent to a broom closet).
Breakfast was the absolute worst, rubbery rolls. This was mentioned multiple times by other guests as well.
Staff were very unfriendly.
We have already forwarded a complaint to Kurz Mal Weg.

Good hotel for a weekend break in Hamburg

The Parkhotel am Berliner Tor is super suitable for a weekend trip to Hamburg. We visited a musical for the second time and booked for the first time in combination with hotel. The location of the hotel is really excellent. Directly at the U-Bahn / S-Bahn station, you are within 10 minutes as good as at all the highlights of Hamburg, even to the main station it is not far, so we could walk the way well.
Also I would like to emphasize the cleanliness of our room.
The breakfast was also nice, which was included with us and was also perfectly sufficient for us to start our day energetically.
All in all, we would book this hotel again for a weekend getaway.
