Good value for money

The "Passage 84" is centrally located on Wilhelmstrasse on the edge of the center. The friendly staff at reception gave us a nice, quiet room facing the courtyard, which was only accessible via an outside staircase - but was very appealing: spacious with a desk and a small seating area. Unfortunately, we couldn't eat in the hotel in the evening (which turned out to be quite difficult in the whole town), but the hotel staff were able to help with a tip.
In the morning, we were served a great breakfast in the small, family-run breakfast room. All in all, recommended with good value for money.

Shower in the hallway!

Ringing the doorbell. Furthermore, always back to "hotel" in or out.
With iron outside spiral staircase to 1st floor. We had a room with shower in the hallway (only for us, with key).
This was not described anywhere! We are 65+ and have to pee quite often at night.
The Booking.com site said you got bathrobes. We had NO towels and no bathrobes. The towels we found ourselves in a closet in the hallway and without a bathrobe I walked down the hallway in my nightgown. Bad soft bed and very thin too soft pillow. The breakfast was OK.
In the morning we complained immediately.
Never again!

The property refused to acknowledge our booking.They weren't prepared to accept our confirmation email that we had booked and paid for our room and breakfast. They actually locked us out whilst we were contacting our booking agent for help.

disappointing

The advertising doesn't keep its promises. They advertise that all rooms have their own bathroom and bathrobes etc., but that's not the case.
The breakfast also took some getting used to. We were served supermarket sausage and cheese and coffee that felt like it was hours old, and as soon as we got to the restaurant there was fresh coffee, scrambled eggs and yoghurt. We didn't get room service during our 4-day stay and the cleanliness - especially in the bathroom (yes, there are a few rooms with private bathrooms) - left a lot to be desired. The rooms facing Wilhelmsstraße are very noisy. The only plus is that you can get to the city quickly. You have to pay 5 euros per night for a parking space. All in all, my conclusion: too expensive for the service.
