Disappointing reception staff

Yeah.
I was sick for three days on holiday and just wanted to cure myself in this hotel. But it seemed like an imposition to order broth in the room at first. When they found out I wasn't fit, they immediately locked the room for more nights.
When I tried to extend it, the woman was so annoyed. “See you on Friday?!!?”
I was effectively just in my room and just needed a broth in the room twice a day. God forbid! That's almost every eight hours. I'm sure the kitchen was completely overwhelmed.
This is completely polite standard in almost all hotels. Not here.
My dissatisfaction relates primarily to the receptionists who obviously have no idea about humanity. The kitchen staff seem to be normal, nice people. And the food is good.
I also notice that younger people are rarely guests here. I can't explain this questionable behavior any other way.

Sehr geehrter matthiassV9052CG,

Food in order, service with selectively marked weakness

We were here as a couple for dinner. First of all, let me say: One of the food was very good, the second okay. The service, on the other hand, was much more ambivalent.
While the service representative responsible for us was consistently very friendly and accommodating, unfortunately this cannot be generalized. Unfortunately, the (supposed) maître d’hôtel (husband of the owner?) stood out less for its courteous service and hospitality, but rather for its sophistication and vague comforts. On our kind request, for example, to relocate the existing reservation for the indoor area - provided availability - to the outside, we were informed several times that this was being examined and that we were approaching.
After the third inquiry, however, we were informed instructively that the reservation was for the indoor area and other guests had shown themselves to be much more decision-making when making a reservation. A simple information that the outdoor area was unfortunately fully booked would have been sufficient here, and this would have been more than understandable.
We would love to come back and be happy if the interpersonal weaknesses in the future take a back seat behind the cozy terrace and the mostly good food.

While I enjoyed my stay, and don’t get me wrong, the rooms are perfectly ok but could do with freshening up and I’m only saying this because if they would match the Michelin-class food, this could be a serious destination for foodies in the Black Forest, which is blessed with great food anyway, but suffers in losing winter tourism due to the declining snow season. Great food like this, combined with beautiful, clean and healthy surroundings to walk (or bike, ride, swim) off the calories could be the salvation. In detail: after a crisp, tasty mixed salad, I had a paired Saibling (local fresh water salmon) and local Trout filet so fresh it tried to leap off the plate. There’s game and all the braten and schnitzel you’d expect, but there’s also a three-course vegan menu, seasonal veg, all with a local reference - not just the way it’s cooked. The menu lists in detail every local maker and supplier of the ingredients, down to the meats coming from a butcher farming its own herds on local meadows. It doesn’t get fresher, ethical, and less carbon footprint. At prices you find (sadly) in the UK at ‘gastro pubs’ and it’s microwaved fare.

Hotel very good, restaurant with defects

On the whole good: Room, room size, in-room refrigerator, beer garden, indoor and outdoor restaurant. The hotel very good, the restaurant with flaws: the white wine was much too warm and there was no cappuccino for breakfast?! We did a bike ride, in all the other, simpler inns cappuccino for breakfast was no problem, here it was. And: although we stayed at the hotel and booked a table for dinner, there was no room outside, just inside - and that was very warm ....
