I was initially disappointed to find that the lakeside lodge we booked is about 500 M away up a steep hill! Anyway, other than that, the hotel was well maintained, with good parking. We were able to use the SUP provided at no cost by their sister hotel which is actually lake side. The lake is lovely, and the town of Titisee, while busy was actually beautiful.
We ate at the Indian restaurant in town one night, which was excellent, despite some poor reviews.

Not worth the price.

Due to a system error from Booking, my brother accidentally booked the apartment for us twice. We only found this out during check-in when they wanted to give us two apartments. Furthermore, it turned out that the price charged to my brother was about 40% higher than the one that was displayed to me almost simultaneously. Thus, we paid almost four times what I had expected. The receptionist was still on the phone with the manager, but they showed no willingness to accommodate us. Although they could have possibly rented the room out again, they insisted that we both pay. The rooms are spacious, but very simple and outdated. No charm whatsoever. The rooms are by no means worth the price; there are much better alternatives available. The breakfast room is nice, and the sauna is acceptable as well. Overall, I was very disappointed because the hotel insisted on the full price despite the obvious booking error and did not accommodate us in any way.

Very recommended

We enjoyed our stay very much.
The staff was super friendly and helpful.
The location is beautiful and calm.
The food and breakfast were amazing and they offer gluten free options as well.
The beds are comfortable and the sauna/spa area is great.
Over all really really good.

Lake wiew!

Beautiful large room overlooking Lake Titisee, very clean and comfortable.
Excellent breakfast with a nice savory/sweet choice.
We had dinner at the Boutique Hotel Alemannenhof, located 300 m below.
The meal was excellent, but the waiter limits unpleasant. I had asked him to give us time to drink our cocktails quietly, before launching the dishes and I was allowed a litany on the number of tables he had to manage.

Modern hotel with a few minor flaws.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Our rooms (we had two apartments) were large and good. The view of the lake was of course great.
Unfortunately, the beds were a pain as they squeaked or creaked at the slightest movement. It took a lot of sleep.
The hotel has no elevator, and the luggage haulage to the 3rd floor. Stock was very exhausting. For older people with heavy suitcases, this can be a bigger challenge.
The breakfast room is spread over 3 parts, one of them in the hallway. There was always a lot of hustle and bustle in the morning, as in addition to the breakfast guests, the other guests also run through this hallway. This made everything seem a bit uncomfortable and hectic.
Breakfast itself was good, though not exceptional.
One evil was that there is only one single coffee machine, and you had to queue before that. Therefore: First get all the other food, then queue for coffee.
There is not enough parking for all guests at the hotel. You can park at another hotel when everything is full. That's about 200 meters on foot. No problem in good weather, otherwise a bit stupid.
