A very nice time
We had a really nice time. The hotel has a very nice ambience, is clean and offers excellent service.
When we arrived, it was already late and the kitchen was actually almost closed. Nevertheless, it was opened again especially for us and we got very delicious food – that was really exceptionally friendly.
The gym is very well equipped and the overall cleanliness is top.
Overall, the hotel is an ideal stopover in the Eifel. We will definitely come back.

Skip this hotel!
The reviews were promising, unfortunately we had a slightly less positive experience. Now that I scroll a bit further I read similar experiences, a confirmation that it was not us. A quick summary: skip this hotel!
What was supposed to be a special birthday present for my friend was disrupted by an unsympathetic host. It started with the observation that the restaurant was closed due to a technical fault. That can happen, of course, only when I asked for an alternative I got some vague tips about a restaurant nearby in a disinterested tone.
In the end we ate delicious in a restaurant in the village. Which, incidentally, we found ourselves. When we came back we thought we'd have a nice beer in the bar. Unfortunately, we ran out of weizen beer. ‘Tomorrow I will get another weizen beer or the day after, it will still be the Eifel’, the host said cynically. When we asked about what he could offer us for beer, it came out with a difficult face that he had non-alcoholic beer or a regular beer on tap. We chose a draught beer. It all went rough. So much for ‘looking forward to your arrival from the confirmation email’. We certainly weren't welcome.
The next morning I reported the disappointing facilities at the host. His only reaction was ‘yes I can’t do anything about that’ and ‘no this is in the system, I can’t change that’. Not a single leniency or concession. Not even an apology. The host’s comments: ‘I also missed an evening’s turnover due to a malfunction’ and ‘all customers are always very satisfied. That you have a lesser experience is your problem.’
We were supposed to stay 2 nights but left after 1 night. Leave the breakfast too. I had to pay the full bill of 2 nights + breakfast (because it says so in the system), while the hotel did not provide services that are offered. We wanted to get out of this negative Mood as soon as possible.
How the hotel has dealt with us is far below standard. This was the first time I had an experience like this. Luckily we had a wonderful time in another hotel.
If you want to read anything positive. The surroundings are beautiful and in the evening and night it is very quiet. From half past seven in the morning, the main road in front of the hotel becomes busier. If you're in the front, you'll hear this when you have the window open. My tip: just keep going down this road and find another hotel:-)
We will never come here again and I will tell everyone who visits the Eifel.

Dank u voor het delen van uw ervaring. Wij vinden het altijd spijtig wanneer een verblijf niet aansluit bij de verwachtingen van een gast en nemen feedback serieus.
Graag willen wij echter een belangrijk punt verduidelijken. Het daadwerkelijke meningsverschil ontstond op het moment dat u besloot het verblijf voortijdig te beëindigen en daarbij aangaf de resterende, reeds geboekte nachten niet te willen betalen. De reservering betrof twee nachten inclusief ontbijt en is door u bevestigd onder de geldende annulerings- en betalingsvoorwaarden. Bij een vroegtijdig vertrek blijven deze voorwaarden van kracht, ongeacht de reden van vertrek. Deze voorwaarden zijn vooraf duidelijk gecommuniceerd en gelden voor al onze gasten.
De sluiting van het restaurant als gevolg van een technische storing was onverwacht en vervelend, maar stond los van de kamerreservering. Wij hebben u die avond alternatieven in de omgeving aangereikt.
Wat betreft het drankaanbod werken wij als kleinschalig hotel met een beperkt en overzichtelijk assortiment. Het is daarbij niet altijd mogelijk om alle soorten drank continu op voorraad te hebben. Wanneer een specifiek product tijdelijk niet beschikbaar is, bieden wij passende alternatieven aan.
Dat u onze uitleg hierover als onprettig heeft ervaren, betreuren wij. Tegelijkertijd kunnen wij geen uitzonderingen maken op vastgelegde afspraken op het moment dat een gast besluit eerder te vertrekken en betaling weigert voor het resterende verblijf.

Pure relaxation
Have spent 3 cozy days in a very nice atmosphere. Hotel is very lovingly restored, food is very good , special requests were taken into account, breakfast very good, unfortunately missing fresh fruit

Beautiful location with beautiful views
Last week we enjoyed the hospitality of both owners Ed and Auke. And of the fantastic location of the hotel.
My wife and I were with the motorcycle, which we could place in the garage.
The dinner, which was prepared by Auke tasted fantastic.
We will definitely be back.

particularly beautiful location, in nature, many tourist attractions. Beautiful walking area, also nice for cycling. Good service and good food. Take the time to discover the area. When the weather is good, there is a nice terrace where you can relax

Hartelijk dank voor uw fijne recensie. Mooi om te lezen dat u de ligging, de natuur en de mogelijkheden om te wandelen en te fietsen zo heeft gewaardeerd. Fijn ook dat u tevreden was over de bediening en het eten. Bij mooi weer is ons terras inderdaad een heerlijke plek om even rustig te genieten. We hopen u nog eens terug te mogen zien.
