Super nice service 1AAA+, good breakfast

I stayed here on the way to the fair in Frankfurt (the fair is only 45 minutes by car), the hotels at the fair time in FFM are priceless. I stayed here for only 55,- Euro including breakfast. I couldn't read the sign at the entrance with the instructions for the key safe properly, so I rang the bell. Help came promptly. Very nice welcome. The room could do with a renovation but it was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was good, I could have made wishes, but had everything I wanted. The owner was really great. I didn't have an ice scraper with me and just wanted to borrow one - he scraped my windows off the car instead. Again on this way a thousand thanks.
Friendliness, courtesy and customer service are important here. Absolutely top and highly recommended.

Sympathetic and straightforward - great value for money; a bijou

Extremely friendly, friendly and uncomplicated host. Beautiful breakfast. For us a bit unexpected as the house is rather simple. There were exclusive dark eggs from their own chickens.

A gem to linger in !!!

we were at the Landhotel Nonnenroth from February 2nd to 4th, 2024. Mr. May greeted us very friendly and showed us the beautiful, tastefully furnished room in country house style. The room had two windows with a view of the horse paddock and the in-house chickens (which laid eggs in the morning in a variety of colors resulting from mating).
The absolute peace and quiet of the chickens was a treat for the soul and absolutely relaxing for us!
The breakfast was very lovingly prepared, with salads, cheese creams, etc. in small glasses. Milk and juices were also served in small 0.2l carafes. The buffet consisted of many different types of cereal, cold cuts, cheese, small chicken meatballs, liver sausage, etc.
The car was parked in the in-house parking lot and the proximity to meadows and field paths was a real joy for our dog (dogs are also welcome guests at the country hotel). The proximity to three lakes and to Grünberg and Laubach makes the location pleasant not only for short stays but also for longer stays.
Our stay was really a real pleasure! We would like to thank Mr. May and his family once again and will definitely come back!

Good service

The hotel is in an old building in a quiet rural village, but with excellent car access, parking and good free wifi
The rooms are clean, good size, and plainly decorated, and when I stayed very quiet.
Five stars in this review is a little bit generous, but reflects the really helpful attitude of the owners and the price (43 euros for a single with breakfast). At this price the comparison in the area is with an Ibis Budget, which tends to be much noisier, and less characterful, and a much less enjoyable experience

Haus mit Charakter

Wir haben einige Nächte in einem sehr ruhigen Doppelzimmer im 1. OG übernachtet, das großzügig und im Landhausstil eingerichtet ist (Abweichend von der Beschreibung gab es allerdings keine Minibar im Zimmer, dafür einen mit vielen verschiedenen Getränken ausgestatteten großen Kühlschrank auf dem Flur.). Corona-bedingt waren wir die einzigen Gäste im Haus. Auf dem Tisch hatte der sympathische Chef jeden Morgen ein mini-Frühstück-Buffet angerichtet, überwiegend in wiederverwendbaren Kleinportionsbehältern. Die gekochten Eier stammten offenbar von Hühnern aus direkter Nachbarschaft. Die Übernachtungspreise sind günstig.
