Wonderful stay

We stayed there for 3 nights.
3 nights just like at home ❤️
We were welcomed with a personalized card by the family managing the hotel.
The setting is magnificent, cozy, warm, quiet, and very pretty.
The room is large for 3 people!
A fan with a great design and high efficiency.
Great parking.
The hotel restaurant is EXTRAORDINARY!!! Very good value for money.
The breakfast is a real JOY as well, of the same quality!
The entire team is at your beck and call.
Very smiling and pleasant.
We did not have time to test the sauna included in our stay.
A REWE supermarket right in front of the hotel.

Nice base for visiting Munich and the surrounding area

Stayed here with my son for Oktoberfest. Very clean and a nice location. Staff was mostly very friendly. Breakfast didn't lack anything. We ate in the restaurant one night and it was quite nice. Would return if ever in the area.

A superb family-run hotel in Bavaria with a beautiful view of the Alps

There still are excellent family-run hotels. Klostermaier is one of them and should be an example to all of what such hotels and restaurants can be. We have used the Klostermaier for family and friends at Christmas for years -- but never stayed there ourselves. We did so last week and realised why all of our guests raved. First of all, the service is superb. Everybody working at the hotel is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Even the public bathrooms in the basement, which seem to be cleaned many times a day. Full marks for proper hand towels in the public bathroom and cloth napkins in the restaurant. Mattresses - that most crucial point - are new and of fine quality. Food in the restaurant is very good and the breakfasts are superb. Eat on the terrace with an Alpine view. They even provide blankets on evenings when it gets chilly. Be sure to book a room on the back side of the hotel with a view of the Alps. It costs more but it's worth it. All rooms have a private balcony with chairs and a table. But be sure to ask for a room with a full view because a few of the rooms have the view partially blocked by nearby buildings. The street side is a poor choice because it is quite heavily used. Munich is short trip from the hotel either by commuter train, the S7, which stops in the village, or via the nearby highway.
