Impossible - never again!

As in the past, we have eaten here with the family several times. Unfortunately, the food was abysmally bad. The starter salad was stale, there was raspberry vinegar on it instead of honey mustard dressing, and the chanterelles were watery. Then came the main courses, and every dish had watery chanterelles (from a jar?), even though the menu said it should have included snow peas or savoy cabbage. The veal steak was a veal fillet. The side dishes were all lukewarm to cold at best. After we complained, we were served burnt snow peas and warm iceberg lettuce. We will definitely not be holding another family celebration here.

Just a visit to the restaurant!

We were there for Sunday brunch. The restaurant is part of the hotel of the same name and is very reminiscent of English country houses. Unfortunately, not much money has been put into the renovation since it opened in 2001. There is a need for improvement, especially in the crockery. Some plates had severe damage. Food could have been a bit more extensive, partly only lukewarm- tasted but good. Service was quite rotating, although far from fully booked! So there's a lot to do, tackle it!

Much more glow than his - not 4 stars!

Can only join many recessions...the hotel has come of age. Individual rooms with demolished wallpaper, the window sills dirty and dusty, the floor stained and in the bathroom mold at the joints. When you come into the room and first see holes in the bed linen, you wonder where you are loaded. Some rooms have a view directly onto an earthen wall, are dark even in summer. Where are the supposed 4 stars supposed to come from? I don't know!
Breakfast: Expired cream cheese, the sausage no longer looks fresh and the nuts in the cereal were rancid and old. The coffee is a matter of taste, I and my companion did not like it. In general, the buffet is rather small and nothing special.
Evening: We had a Ceaser Salad that was really small for the price. Dressing was very little, but worst of all, the chicken was not fried through. Absolute nogo! Other dinners were reserved rather lukewarm, partly very tasteless, neither salt nor pepper were used. Bar OK, but when you get a Campari orange in a small 0.2l glass with lots of ice, half filled, you wonder where the price comes from...Grappa was old and tasted stale.
Service: So far all very nice and friendly (hence also 2 point rating), but partly with communication difficulties.
Conclusion: Something hoped for, little received... Would definitely NOT recommend, especially not to eat.

Great stay

Great business stay for one night. The hotel is somewhat dated, especially the colors used. But everything works and the staff is very helpful. The restaurant in the hotel was absolutely good, the food was delicious and the breakfast was also excellent

Good hotel with a great restaurant

The hotel is efficient and clean if a bit quirky. The rooms a re simple but function able however no English channels were available on the TV due to there no longer being an analogue signal. The hotel is a distance away from town so a car really is a must if you are staying here. The staff a friendly the breakfast is one of the better ones offered in Germany. The restaurant is defiantly worth a visit.
