This is a good budget hotel. It provides you with the bare necessities and the staff was pretty nice. They adhere to the 3pm check in. The one thing that I did not care for was smelling smoke in the hallway. With people smoking right at the front door, the smoke comes inside of the hotel. I forgot that some European budget hotels don’t have elevators. Not an issue but plan accordingly if you have large suitcases.

Awfully rude manager and some rooms stink of cigarettes.

Despite the Accor description saying English is spoken it’s not really. The manager refused to speak English when we phoned to pre pay for the room as we would be arriving late. Exceptionally rude shouting that only German was spoken (I understand and speak a very small amount). I had to enlist the help of the staff at the Ibis Hannover to translate, however on this second phone call still exceptionally rude until, I said ein moment bitte and passed the phone to the Hannover staff. All sorted anyway! On arrival the young man on reception was initially helpful and put us in rm119, when we went to the room the smell of cigarette smoke was overpowering (despite it being a no smoking hotel) we went to complain (there is a notice in the rooms stating €250 fine if needing cleaning and no way where we taking the blame!) the basic reply was just open a window! After finally moving rooms, the room was fine, typical older Ibis Budget but fine as a place to sleep, location is good with a car and only 10mins drive to a park and ride to Dresden (which is stunning!) we needed an extra pillow as the ones we had were very thin so asked the night staff who again was hard work.
So morning one arrives and a miracle has occurred the manager now speaks English (must have been a 24hr course!) I managed in my limited German to request a hairdryer and give the room number for the deposit to be held suddenly the manager speaks English (certainly better than my German) and wishes us a good day.
Another strange one is you have to request your room to be cleaned as it’s not standard. I’ve never had to ask as this is normally a basic in Ibis hotels??
All in all not the greatest stay. The hotel is ok but the management/staff let it down.

This is a stop over Ibis with stop over prices. To far out of Dresden to get a taxi in for a nose(was on motorbike)
Hotel itself has free fairly secure parking, helpful staff with a breakfast that will fill you up,not a large choice but ample to get you going.
Room is budget(as is the hotel)bed was comfortable enough but the pillows are shocking, absolutely terrible. Here's a thing fot them to try,get the Ibis boss to come a lay his head on these and see if he thinks they are fit for purpose, they are not.I laughed when I opened the toilet door, the toilet/ shower is an exact modular copy of the toilet on a Brittany ferry, functional and served it's purpose. Rest of the room was ok for the price range.
If like me your on a motorbike then food options are limited,no delivery service locally but I found a decent supermarket a 5 minute walk from the hotel, opposite the petrol station on the main road, was very handy.I also had a beer on the bench outside the petrol station with a couple of locals, great stuff.
All in all,an acceptable hotel for its price range, but do something with those pillows.

Sleep & go

It was just a stop on a long business trip.
I expected to park a car, get a comfy bed, use a bathroom and have a breakfast in the morning before continuing my trip.
I should say that all above was delivered, however at a very basic standard (the bathroom was even below, as it was rather a "cubicle" rather than a "room") and you should forget about any hot components for your breakfast (except tea).
I didn't expect more, so I shouldn't complain, however I can't rate it more than 3 out of 5, as it should be cheaper.

Parking was great right next to my window. The hotel is out of town but convenient for commuting. No dinner so had to go out. Room functional. Staff were very friendly and helpful
