Even just for eating
We were just restaurant guests but it was really worth it. Small, very friendly and the food really great!! Always back because it's fresh, very good and cheap. We had the mushroom schnitzel and the spare ribs.

The first time disappointed
We stayed several times in house 4, for lunch and for a brunch and each time very satisfied.
On this Easter holiday, however, we ordered several "classic beef roulades" with dumplings and stewed vegetables".
Now we, as well as all friends of the region surveyed, assume that a beef roulade, especially a "classic" one, consists of coiled beef stuffed with bacon and cucumber (regional possibly different).
However, we got a roulade that had a thin layer of beef on the outside and was mostly stuffed with minced meat, commonly known here as peasant roulade.
That was absolutely disappointing for us, because even the asking price of just under 25€ for the plate should be reserved for a proper, just classic, roulade. We believe that a restaurant with high standards should not need such trickery.
The fact that the food tasted good overall was not enough this time to paper over the bland aftertaste.

Ambience ok Food price-performance unsatisfactory
The restaurant is located directly on the Grossräschener See, which is not yet completely full.
The property is rather inconspicuous from the street but the interior is OK. Wide benches without backrests are not my thing but it doesn't bother everyone. ;-)
Service is rather dull and not particularly close to guests, rather cold.
The food is unfortunately unsatisfactory and too expensive for the price.
The guesthouses and restaurants in the area were much better and friendlier.
We were unfortunately disappointed compared to the others.
Unfortunately we cannot give a recommendation at the moment.
The burger was rather small (for the price) and the mashed potatoes tasted like they had been put out of a baby jar. The tomato soup, on the other hand, was great. See the pictures for everything. So everyone can form their own opinion.
We paid 140 EUR for 2 starters, 3 main courses and a drink each. The price is the same in the region but the quality at Pension ELANA, for example, is much better.

Light and Shadow
After the extremely positive reviews, we chose the restaurant "Haus Vier" for a dinner. We sat in the conservatory with great views of Lake Großräschen. In our view, however, we have had to pay for this situation with the relatively high prices.
The service was very attentive and flexible.
The cheese burger was characterized by a too hard, little spiced patty and for the price (22.80€) too small bans.
The hunter-style schnitzel was a completely fried, thin piece of pork for which you needed a good knife. There were mushrooms that were not fresh and a sauce that was more of a broth.
Only the steakhouse fries were a bright spot.
For dessert we tried the hazelnut nougat ice cream and found that this ice cream had disintegrated like a water ice cream. There would be a Mövenpick ice cream or an ice cream from Bofrost the better choice and for the price the least you can ask for.
Unfortunately, we cannot make a Recommendation.
