The Hotel WohnGut in Koblenz-Güls is highly recommended!
We had booked the Hotel Wohngut for a family celebration with over 40 people. Guests and hosts were delighted. Very cozy ambience, great buffet, 1a service and very nice hotel rooms. During the preparation we were accompanied by the hotel very professionally. Our ideas have all been realized. What's more, the hotel management also contributed very good ideas of their own. By the way, we were able to celebrate into the night. The DJ (hotel recommendation) ensured a full dance floor. The price-performance ratio also fit.

New Year's Eve
Were all super nice, food was very good. Room was very clean. We were there over New Year's Eve. Maybe they could have offered some more programming by midnight. But after the beautiful fireworks there were fries and Currywurst was very delicious.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel
This hotel has a few plus points: the location, the restaurant and the kind staff. The negative points, however, are many and ruined the whole experience for me. This is advertised as a 4 star hotel, and I am not sure why, since even a 3 star status would be generous. Starting from the room, very outdated, super small (we couldn't really move), with an open bathroom which makes it very difficult, at night, not to wake up everyone else in the room if you need to use the toilet. The quality of the toiletries is very low, and basically a single soap for everything. The tv is super small, difficult to watch from the bed, and the closet very narrow for a family of three. There was no coffee/tea set, and the beds were quite old, with weird sheets that felt rough on the skin. Also, the door did not close automatically, and needed various attempts in order to lock properly. As a result, the first day I am pretty sure we left it open. The smell in the corridor was not very pleasant. Apart from the poor quality of the room, however, what is really concerning is security. None ever checked our IDs, during our stay, not even at check-in. Also, since the reception is only open until 22.00 (which is very weird for a supposedly 4 star hotel, and also not specified in English in the confirmation email or on the website, only available in German), our key was left behind a vase on a table behind the automatic back door which anyone could freely access. Breakfast was not very rich, although decent. Overall, a disappointing experience, although I must admit service was very kind and the common areas quite pleasant.

Defect in room was ignored
Located just outside Koblenz near a residential area. My room was functionally furnished, which in my view does not necessarily mean comfortable.
The breakfast offer was, as far as I can remember, quite ok.
What was an absolute no-go for me is a permanently triggering toilet flush. I pointed it out after one night - the lady at the reception noted the lack on a small note and then something probably happened, which happens worldwide with all these small notes... it was simply ignored and the next evening after returning to the room the toilet flushing was still running at regular intervals, so that sleep was again unthinkable!
A tip from me: if you do not feel like resolving a defect, then communicate this directly with your guest and offer him an early, free departure. So you would save yourself frustration of your guests and a review like this!
I will be back in Koblenz in December but around this accommodation make a big bow!

Below expectations
Comfort room was ok; clean, nice bathroom, just enough space, but noisy due to thin wall. Slow internet. Poor food in restaurant, really below average (don’t trust the description of the dishes). Personnel very friendly.
