A perfect location for our family celebration.

On the occasion of a birthday party we were with a larger group as a guest at the Gasthaus Otto. Service and food were excellent. We were with the group in a separate adjoining room and therefore between us, which suited the occasion perfectly. Also advantageous is that you can also stay directly on site. The place I can absolutely recommend.

Home-style cuisine

Located in the beautiful Siebengebirge I can not say anything about the hotel. We were "merely" there for dinner to taste the touted "battle weeks." Our expectations were met with -we hoped-, hearty food. Whether a very delicious liver dumpling soup or a slaughter plate, it tasted great. Usually not my "daily bread", but once or twice a year I can enjoy it.
The restaurant itself looks a bit like an inn from the foothills, but that doesn't bother you. The service was very good, friendly and accommodating ,so an all around satisfying lunch, with break for the home cooker.

Unfortunately disappointing

We had become curious about the very good reviews of other guests and because of a personal recommendation and celebrated a birthday here for two. We were particularly interested in the vegan food. The disappointment was complete. The large dining room was uncomfortably illuminated only with ceiling lights. The bread previously served was dry. But the dip is delicious. The food came quickly. Obviously warmed in the microwave with finished products. Rösti with oyster mushrooms was catastrophically muddy and without aroma. The critical comment on this did not generate a reaction. The question of the daily dessert triggered an annoyed reaction. The waffle on the ice was rancid and flabby. Apparently, we've had a really bad day. But we will not take the risk a second time.

unfriendly, simple house

very simply furnished house with unfriendly host
clairvoyant rooms for strangers, in the morning you also notice that an airport is nearby
the frugal furniture in the room overlooking a broken roof could have been freed of dust before
clean bathroom without shower gel etc

People are trying hard.

We booked a double room online and it was confirmed quickly. Without asking, they reserved the most expensive room (€90.00 per night including breakfast). To our surprise, it was a room with 2 single beds, which we only noticed after opening the door. Impossible!!! As we have been guests of the hotel for several years, we were all the more disappointed. The breakfast was sufficient. However, fruit and vegetables should be refilled. Scrambled or fried eggs are not provided and are not offered. Boiled eggs were all gone on Sundays. Oh well, but the rolls are delicious and the rooms are clean.
