Stunning old building, built 1835, rebuilt 1905 with wonderful frescoes on the exterior walls. Great location in the old town. Friendly staff. Solid value.

Beautiful interesting hotel from the outside

Room 102, very small, the sanitary area can only be described as a wet cell. Quality of sleep unsatisfactory.
The breakfast along with the service, on the other hand, was good.
The negative features are likely due to the old building structure (protected as a historical monument).

Location in the privileged center

The location is very good, very central. There is no own parking, but it is close, although it costs € 24.- per day.
The coffee buffet and very good with many varieties.
The service and attendees is very good.

Ideal base to explore Konstanz and local area.

I booked a double room at this Hotel for 3 nights (Solo Occupancy). Although, the furniture is not the most modern, is is generally in keeping with the hotel. The bed was very comfy. There was a safe, mini-bar, TV and a few plug sockets (By the bed as well). The room was clean and was attended to on a daily basis. My room overlooked a side street, but there was no noise from the outside.
The bathroom had a walk in shower and was ample size for me and again was clean.
I had breakfast, including in my room rate and there was a good selection of hot and cold meats, scrambled egg, cereal, fresh fruit, juices etc.
There is a small bar area, which was reasonably priced. All the staff that I had interactions with, were very friendly and helpful and as an added bonus, I was provided with a free travel pass to use on public transport within the local area. I used this to go exploring.
The hotel is located about 5-10min walk from the main station and within a very short walk of the shops and bars.
I had not complaints of issues during my stay and would consider staying here again, if I came to Konstanz.

Lots of choices for breakfast so i did try different sets daily.. the staff are very attentive to your needs. Large area that could accommodate latge number of guests in one sitting. Coffee is great.. and nice ambiance for a relaxed beeakdast atmosphere
