Good, but not as good as before under old direction
1. Restaurant service with restrictions: Table reservation didn't work. Neither for breakfast nor for dinner was the desired - and promised- table reserved.
2. Food was good, but the daily recommendation was always the same over 5 days.

Nice place to visit the region.
Environment: very beautiful, enchanting setting. Golf, greenery, numerous walking paths.
The setting is truly magnificent;
Points of interest, notably Fussen, its castle, and the Wies Church, are a 30-minute drive away.
A car is essential, however.
Spa: very pleasant. Sauna, steam room, indoor pool. A lovely moment of rest at the end of the day.
We did not try the restaurant, but the breakfast, served until 11 a.m., is super complete, and the dining room is also very pleasant, with a mountain chalet atmosphere;
Sweet, savory, good local products.
A real meal.
Room: we had a large room with a terrace and a lake view. We recommend it,
Note, however, there is no air conditioning and no fan despite the intense heat.

Only for German speakers.
We had chosen this hotel also for the wellness center, with the idea of treating ourselves to a massage after a long journey. When we asked for information, the response was simply: "The colleague is not here." End of the conversation. No alternative proposal, no check on availability at another time, no attempt to find a solution. From a hotel of this category, one would expect a much higher level of attention towards the customer.
We had a very similar experience with the electric car charging, another reason that had influenced our choice. At our first request, we were only told that the charging station was occupied. Again, end of the discussion. No one told us that it would be available later, no one offered to notify us when it was free. It was us, after some time, who returned to the reception to ask again. Only then did we discover the reality of the service: only one station, at low power, you need to have your own Type 2 cable, and the cost is a hefty 0.80 €/kWh. A service that would deserve a much more transparent description.
The welcome was probably the most disappointing aspect of the stay. The young receptionist was kind and helpful, but everything changed with the arrival of the older lady at the reception. She intervened while we were talking with the colleague without even greeting us or giving us a glance. Throughout the interaction, she spoke exclusively with the colleague, completely ignoring us, as if our presence were irrelevant. During the stay, this feeling repeated itself several times: the impression was that those who do not speak German are considered second-class customers. It is a personal perception, of course, but it was so evident that it influenced the entire experience.
To reinforce this impression, the fact that practically all the hotel signage is exclusively in German contributes. From the common areas to the information available in the rooms, we found practically nothing in English. If the establishment intends to cater almost exclusively to a German-speaking clientele, it is a legitimate choice, but it would be correct to state this clearly so that international guests can choose with greater awareness.
The room also contributed to the disappointment. We were assigned an attic room, lacking air conditioning. Considering the category of the hotel and the time of year, it is certainly not the type of accommodation one expects from an establishment that presents itself as a four-star.
The parking is also organized in a rather unique way. The paying customer must use the parking shared with the golf club and find a free spot on their own. The spots closest to the entrance are, however, reserved, in order, for board members, employees, and other reserved categories. The result is that it is precisely the hotel guest, who pays for the stay, who is forced to park farther away, provided they find a spot.
Finally, the restaurant. During dinner, it was practically impossible to eat in peace due to the enormous number of flies present. Throughout the meal, we had to continuously shoo them away from our plates and glasses. We understand that a facility immersed in greenery may have more than the average, but such a situation inevitably compromises the enjoyment of dinner.
And it is precisely the restaurant that demonstrates that the problem is not the staff as a whole. The two waiters who served us were simply impeccable: polite, professional, attentive, always smiling, and with excellent English. They undoubtedly represented the best aspect of the entire stay and deserve sincere thanks.
Overall, the feeling is that of a facility that fails to offer the level of service one would expect from a four-star hotel. More than the individual episodes, what is perplexing is the lack of attention towards the guest and the poor willingness to seek solutions when a problem arises. It is a shame, because the location is beautiful and part of the staff demonstrates that quality service would be possible. Unfortunately, the overall management does not live up to the expectations created by the hotel's category.
