Affordable and good

Compared to the opposite Pension Piano, the hotel is simply better by classes for almost the same price. We had a room facing the street, which could get a little noisy in the summer because of the restaurants, but for that you are also in the middle, right and left a dozen restaurants. The room was well equipped, even with illuminated light switches, the bathroom tiny but adequate with relatively new equipment and floor-level shower. There was an electric kettle, Wi-Fi, so everything you need when.
Conclusion: gladly again.

Wonderful stay in the heart of Leipzig – perfect for concert trips!

I stayed for one night at Hotel via City Leipzig Mitte while attending a concert at the Parkbühne – and I was truly impressed! The location is outstanding: just a few minutes’ walk from the tram station and very easy to reach from the main train station. The surrounding area is vibrant and full of life, with countless restaurants, cafés, and bars – even right next to the hotel itself.
The staff welcomed me warmly and were very attentive. Although there’s no elevator, I was immediately offered help with carrying my luggage upstairs (I had just a backpack, so it wasn’t an issue). My room was on the third floor and faced the street. I was informed it might be a bit noisier, and they offered a quieter room facing the courtyard – great service! I stayed with earplugs and slept perfectly.
The room was clean, nicely furnished, and well-equipped – tea, coffee, kettle, mini-fridge (which I really appreciated given the hot weather), and a ceiling fan. The bathroom was small but clean and functional, with a strong shower and all the essentials provided.
Walking to the Parkbühne took about 15 minutes through a lovely park. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay. If I return to Leipzig, I will definitely choose this hotel again. Highly recommended!

Not a great experience

My wife and I were here for 2 days. There are some positives first ....
Location is good for accessing Leipzig.
Room was spacious and clean.
Unfortunately a few negatives that impact upon the overall experience.
My wife asked for walk in shower facilities as she is disabled. Shower was fine, but at no point did the hotel warn us that there was no lift and she would need to use the stairs.
Shortly before our departure from the UK the hotel contacted us to say there had been a kitchen fire and that breakfast was no longer possible. They offered us either a discount or cancellation, but it was too late in the day to find another hotel so we opted for the discount.
When we came to leave we had to show them confirmation of this discount as they seemed unaware of what they had agreed to and wanted to charge the original price.
Be aware that the hotel is on a busy nightlife street. You can look out the window and there are 6+ bars, resturants within spitting difference, including 2 directly below. In the summer it gets hot and there is no air conditioning in the room, therefore you open the window and get the noise. Keep the windows closed and you are in a sauna.
The Friday was not so bad and things got quiet by 1am, but on the Saturday there was a great deal of activity until 4am Sunday. It was very hot so we could not close the window.
There is no-one on reception to complain to whilst this is going on.
My wife complained the following morning and was told she should have called the police
I would strongly advise if you are using the hotel that you ensure you have a back room or you go at a time when it is much cooler.
My wife did complain as she got no sleep and we had a long drive the next day. In fairness the hotel reduced the price after negotiation.
So whilst it is lovely, clean and well positioned take care if you are booking a stay. We would go elsewhere should we return to Leipzig.

Location great, hotel not too bad

The hotel in an older, converted building, and that partly adds to the charecter, partly makes things not always function as well as they might elsewhere.
Staff is very friendly and helpful, but if there is a problem in the night there is noone.
WiFi had a weak signal and sometimes did not work at all.
In the winter the room facing the street was OK, as the sound insulation worked well in the window. However if you need to open the window at night in the summer, there will be a lot of noise.
This is because of the otherwise great location, in a street close to the Center, with lots of bars, restaurants and very interesting little shops.
Breakfast was OK
All in all you get what you pay for.

Great clean, location with nice staff

We stayed at the hotel a couple of days in May for the world gothic treff in Leipzig
The location is great as it is in between the Agra Halle ( central location) and the Bahnhof ( the train station).
The rooms are very clean, spacious and modern. The only problem is the missing elevator - suitcases need to be carried in to the first or second ( high) floor.
The staff is very nice and eager to help.
I can recommend this hotel.
