Beautiful image of the alpine pasture but with disappointing sides.
A beautiful themed hotel in Lüdenscheid. On the alp... beautiful alpine huts feeling in the restaurant, and rooms. The breakfast area however.... obviously an emergency solution... parts of the banquet areas that has been remodeled... trying to bring in a little atmosphere with sofas. Fur and wood is not enough to get rid of the feeling of being turned off...the packaged cakes, brown bananas, listless distributed food offer at the buffet gives no feeling of the alm. Man can only hope that this is a temporary solution...definitely not 4 star Mood

Unfortunately, this time very disappointed.
We arranged to eat with friends, the side table was very noisy which we found very inappropriate for a restaurant. We were looking forward to the food, unfortunately we did not get full despite the appetizer, i.e. we had the impression here that the portion sizes are profit-oriented. Very pleasant service, extremely friendly and fast.
We won't visit the restaurant again for now, actually a pity because we know it's better.

My review was titled “slander”, but I was just writing the truth! That also says a lot about this hotel!
I've never written a bad review, but this time I even announced it... so here we go. I spent a night here with my mother and sister, or wanted to spend it.
We made the booking directly via the website.
Since the check-in is only available until 10 pm and after that no one can be found in the reception (or as it turned out later) in the whole hotel, we were there at about 8 pm to pick up our three room tickets. We also had to pay directly. Afterwards, we went to dinner.
When we got back to the hotel at about 22:25, my sister and I moved into our room.
However, my mother did not get that far - in her room there was someone else in bed, whom she had woken up. He still shouted to her, “ey here’s someone” and so my mother stumbled out again.
From then on, the nightmare started. We were desperate for a number in the hotel to reach an employee or owner, because there was no human soul to be found. Calling reception didn't do any good either, neither call forwarding nor answering machine are available. There's no phone number anywhere. Nothing on the website either! You are left here as a guest completely alone! Negligent! We had a very long journey and just wanted to sleep...
Finally, in desperation, we called a number on a noticeboard for massages at just after 11 p.m. The lady on the phone and her husband were so friendly and phoned several staff/owners of the hotel and left messages. Unfortunately, however, no one came forward from these until the morning.
The morning after the sleepless night we went to the reception and it was fairly apologized. I would have expected a voucher as compensation or that all our rooms would be refunded, but no.... Only my mother's room (which she could not use because of double occupancy) was refunded, as well as a bottle of sparkling wine on the house. All I can say is pathetic. No further complaints were addressed, at a later stage we learned that the management of the hotel did not consider it necessary to bear the reimbursement costs, but the reception staff had to reimburse my mother's room at their own expense. In my opinion very strange management that neither apologizes nor shows!!!
I can only ask the hotel to leave an emergency number clearly visible in the hotel. We never book here again and advise everyone to avoid this house, which in my opinion is only for profit and does not care about its guests.

Chaos, false billing and Boycott
Our reunion in the restaurant of the Sportalm Gipfelglück was unfortunately clouded by organizational shortcomings. Despite the friendly atmosphere, there were numerous errors during operation: Ordered drinks were forgotten, food was served twice or not delivered at all. To top it all off, a waitress was upset that we were letting food go back as it wasn't ordered and nobody wanted it. However, everything was apparently booked in, because in the end a significant surplus was calculated, which a schoolmate initially took over without having the bill checked.
Now we want to see the invoice in person, but the restaurant is not willing to provide a detailed listing of items. This is a shame, as it significantly affects confidence in the restaurant.
