This I s a very nice german “Gasthaus” Much value for money, Very friendly Landlords, big, tidy and quiet rooms.
The restaurant serves local food and wine in huge serving sizes.

Dining with friends

After we reserved a table for 9 in advance, we got a table for eight. A chair was contributed. When ordering the food, a lumberjack came instead of a Holstein schnitzel. The complaint was dismissed saying that it was almost the same. The bread dumplings were muddy, translating the mushroom sauce. Billing turned out to be difficult as well, we wanted to pay in pairs.
The rest of the food was fine, though. The Service was mixed.

A spacious room and good German food

Gasthof Zur Rebe Blees is located in the centre of Mehring at the Mosel River. With its seventies furniture and decoration Zur Rebe is charmingly out-dated. Staffs are helpful and friendly.
The Gasthof annex German restaurant is comfortable and well maintained. The restaurant has two terraces and offers traditional no-nonsense cuisine. Complimentary Wi-Fi Internet and free parking next door.
Our spacious room was practically decorated and furnished, with an OK double bed, table & chair, couch & coffee-table, wardrobe, TV. No coffee & tea making facility in the room. We had bathroom with washbasin and a separate toilet and shower. Windows can be opened but have no mosquito screens. All was clean.
Gasthof Zur Rebe Blees is good place for a relaxing stay. Breakfast is good with ample variety. You can discover the area on bicycle or take one of the many walking routes uphill. Mehring is quiet and unimpressive.
We recommend this riverside hotel to anyone who seeks OK comfort and German cuisine in a quiet environment.

Cosy hotel

Nice an cosy hotel at the Mosel. The room had a good size and was airy and quiet. The bathroom looked newly rennovated, and the bed was comfortable. Small hotel with maybe 15 rooms, adjoining the restaurant that serves typical German cuisine. Breakfast buffett with the usual selection and ok. Very friendly owner. Price ok.

Gute bodenständige Küche!

Gute deutsche Küche!
Sehr leckerer knackfrischer Beilagensalat, gutes leckeres Schnitzel, die Rahmsoße hätte etwas dicker und würziger sein können, die Pommes waren auch sehr gut.
Auch das Steak war toll, die Soße dazu ebenfalls, die Bratkartoffel ebenfalls gelungen.
