Super satisfied

Private parking available on request, very helpful staff. There is also a breakfast, which even a 5-star hotel cannot do better. I travel a lot professionally and think I can judge this. All in all, a hotel where value for money really fit excellently. If again Saxony or Dresden area is the Golden Lion first choice.

Centrally located but not perfect.

we went to the Golden Lion for Easter. Some things we didn't like. The rooms are very small ,just a chair in the room ,large dirt stains in the carpet. Few storage facilities, not cozy. Unfortunately, only one room card. The gentleman at the reception was very unfriendly (on several days). The food in the evening was very delicious. Breakfast was also okay so far, unfortunately the ham was set up in the back and so the fork was lying that almost all of them slipped with their fingers on the sausage.
One evening we wanted to have a glass of wine in the restaurant, there was no possibility despite free seats, was very disappointing. They ended up in a cozy wine bar.
I wouldn't book the hotel again.

It's a nice traditional place, very well located in the old town. Very clean but not very modern, and with a shower-in-tub arrangement that was difficult to deal with and felt quite dangerous. Absolutely lovely breakfast room and excellent breakfast. Very good food and huge portions in the hotel restaurant. No English TV at all, not even CNN or BBC, so that was a disappointment,

Checked in here for the second time. Parking is available in front of the hotel or on the private parking lot. Very pleasant and the reception is very helpful with various questions. Also the second room was very spacious (not just 15sqm) and nicely decorated. The breakfast buffet is always a delight.
