Amazing place to stay for a romantic gateaway! The hotel is very unique, rooms are very comfortable and clean, staff are very friendly and helpful and great breakfast and a very good restaurant. Deserve a 5* rating!

Some rooms are renovated.
Not all.
No air conditioning.
Parking was difficult due to multiple weddings ongoing at property.
The whole place needs a refresh.
Buffet breakfast was ok.

Never again
Had submitted a request and it was answered that it could be done.On arrival this turned out not to be arranged and we were offered a tiny, hot room. No discount or otherwise offered. -Nothing. There is nothing to do in the village. After 6 hours of driving we thought we could order a cup of coffee in the restaurant with some extra. They didn't. All in all, far too expensive and disappointing.

Catastrophe and find another place to stay for a visit to the beautiful region and city of Marburg!
The good website does not correspond in any respect to reality.
I write this review as a long-time hotelier for rural, urban and holiday businesses and therefore with a certain industry experience.
The vast majority of the staff are not exactly hospitable and you get the impression that you seem rather annoying as a guest.
We have been with a group of 3 rooms on site and in all rooms the same picture. The rooms are an imposition and extremely dirty and worn out.
The dust was lying everywhere millimetres high, so not from the last 2-3 days. When airing the room we had the window large and unfortunately a little rain came in and I wiped the floor dry with the towel of the bathroom, the white towel was then black.
For the towels there were no possibilities throughout the room these dry reasonably to hang and in the bathroom no possibility at all.
The request on Feb. Day cleaning the room once more thoroughly did not help.
In one of our 3 rooms there was not even a closet and only one clothes rail with fabulous 2 hangers. In this room, our acquaintances even had to order towels for the second person every day.
1 set of towels for 2 people incredible.
About Day of 2. One day we were invited to a family celebration at this hotel.
Loveless service and untasting food, simply bland and lovelessly prepared.
The coronation was then at breakfast on the day of departure, at 9.40am we asked again for fresh coffee and got the answer, unfortunately there is no coffee left and that even though breakfast went until 10am.
I could write down many more things, but I'm stopping now.....
In any case, we can not recommend this house to all 3 parties to stay or eat, as apparently only incompetent employees walk around here and the fish smells from the head. Sorry!
