Excellent business stay

We stayed in this hotel for work and we were all satisfied with the courtesy of the staff, the cleanliness, and the rooms assigned to us, all spacious and with an outdoor area (balcony or small ground-level view). The hotel is located in a very beautiful and quiet area, with many restaurants and services, very convenient to the subway. We booked months in advance and having numerous rooms, several changes to the initial reservation were necessary: we always found maximum availability and courtesy in accommodating our staggered arrival and departure needs. Recommended!

Staff unfriendly and dishonest

After I had already stayed in this hotel in July 2025, however in the annex, which you reach via a garden path, I booked it again in January as part of a five-day business stay - by phone and email - due to the previous positive experience directly at the hotel and without a booking portal.
And I was very disappointed. The accommodation this time was in the main building, the room decor outdated, the bed uncomfortable and hard.
I informed the receptionist about this, she was extremely unfriendly and arrogant towards me, which left an unsympathetic impression on me. I was finally offered an additional blanket as a mattress topper upon my inquiry if there was at least one topper for the hard mattress.
So far, so good.
What irritated me was an email sent after two days of stay by the same receptionist, asking me to please pay for my (5-day) stay on the same day. It was irritating because I have always paid at checkout in all hotels around the world. I have never been asked to pay before checkout during an ongoing hotel stay.
I found this email to be in poor taste, did not respond, and, as usual, settled the bill without issue upon my departure, despite the poor value for money of the assigned room.
At home, I then had to realize that my "Aqua di Parma" perfume bottle worth €140 was missing. It has "gone missing" at the hotel. I have never experienced theft in a hotel in Germany before!
Overall, a very unpleasant experience with condescending and dishonest hotel staff who do not shy away from theft.
In the summer of 2025, I had a positive experience with the then receptionist.
I will never stay in this hotel again.

Price performance more than defective

Board in the so-called box spring bed. The coating on it is bad.
Old bath fittings. Very dark room. Price for the first night Euro 185.- !!!!
Underground parking was not offered to me. Bad Wi-Fi.
Breakfast 15,- Euro - Saucer for coffee cup is considered a luxury. Fine bread rolls misrepresentation - cheap bake-on rolls, just like the other goods. Smells slightly better than the stale scent in the room. Never again!!!!!

Great hotel out of the city but a quick subway trip away.

Contemporary hotel. Friendly staff. Clean. Small hotel but good sized room. We were a two twin room. Plenty of space to spread out. No coffee in the room but a quick run downstairs for good morning coffee. We did not take part in breakfast. A little too small for the $$. Great neighborhood restaurants. We loved the Indian place as well as the German place next door on the corner. We frequented Zöttl across the street for espresso and pastries. As well as a sandwich for the train. Tons of eateries and grocery places within a short walk. Could not be closer to the U Bahn and a 10 minute ride to Old Town/Marienplatz. Would absolutely stay there again. The only reason for the 4 stars is the due to breakfast being small for the price.

The hotel is just by a metro station and a supermarket, so great location. Staff was nice and helpful. Reception closes at 8 PM, which almost caused us a big issue. Our passports were locked in a safe, but pin was not working. We needed a key. There was nobody to open the safe to us when we return to the hotel
At 9:30 PM. After a few phone calls to the HDQ team and talking to the people at the Indian restaurant next door, they figure out a way to open the safe and saved the day, orher use we would miss out flight at 3 am, since they don’t open until 7. The room was big and comfortable.
