The room was close to the train tracks and very noisy at night since the window had to stay open because of poor airconditioning

The hotel was okay overall, but my experience with the elevator was very disappointing. I got stuck inside, and although I pressed the alarm and reception buttons, the staff had no idea what had happened. Luckily, a woman helped me get out. When I told the staff, they simply said, “This elevator sometimes gets stuck, use the other one.”
I had already injured my foot before this incident, so I was too scared to use the elevator again and had to walk up and down five floors using the stairs. Not a very reassuring experience, especially regarding safety.

disgusting shower - on the 1st floor, but there is no water pressure at all. And it is impossible to regulate the temperature of the water - sometimes cold, sometimes hot.

Decent hotel for the price. Rooms are what you pay for. Staff was friendly, but couldn't really help when it came to issues. The main issue was the AC "was broken" so said the staff. Other reviews are being told it's due to government regulations. Either way, this hotel does not cool down, and the windows do not open more than 5cm. This made sleeping uncomfortable at best, and at times, impossible. Which is the primary reason this review is not 4 stars.
If you're planning your vacation and the temperature is over 25 degrees, you're probably better off finding somewhere else. Otherwise, it's a decent hotel.

We knew that we were booking a room in a budget hotel, which meant that hanging space for clothing was at a premium and there were no drawers, just a limited amount of shelf space for our personal possessions. We had to live out of our suitcases. All this was abundantly clear at the time of booking. However, the bed was comfortable, the shower worked well, as did the television and room service was offered every day, comprising a change of towels and bed linen if requested. An air conditioning unit was provided as standard. The room was initially clean, but, as we arrived in a downpour, we unavoidably carried some sand and grit into the room. Despite asking for the floor to be cleaned, the deposit was not removed for the entire stay of six nights, contributing to some discomfort when walking barefoot. However, this and a misunderstanding concerning a breakfast booking, which was easily resolved, are the only gripes which we have.
We very much appreciated the hotel's flexibility. It is staffed day and night which permits arrival in unsocial hours and breakfast can be booked minutes before it is being consumed. Breakfast was very good value for anyone who wants more than just one bread roll and a single beverage. Drinks and snacks are also available for purchase at the reception.
The staff was polite and helpful and administration of our account was generally efficient. The cancellation policy is also to be commended.
