The gym room was a little disappointing as it had no weights, just cardio equipment. Apart from that I had a lovely stay. Good breakfast and nice backyard to enjoy it outside. Am Harras is very good connected with public transport

I wish my experience of staying at the K+K hotel was more hands on as to allow me to present a more insightful review. Unfortunately, when my wife and I, who were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, turned up at the hotel after a long delayed journey, we were told that our pre paid room was not available as it was given to another guest. The receptionist was obviously embarrassed and arranged for us to stay at a hotel down the road. Unfortunately, the replacement hotel was of far less inferior quality and lacked the amenities of the 4 star hotel we booked, including a bar, gym, sauna, outdoor area etc. it was also disappointing that they failed to rectify the problem for the 2nd night. I have written to Hotels.com, as I only booked through them to guarantee the extra protection that they offer. So far, I have had no response!

99% loved it!
We stayed here for a week end of June/early July 2026. The hotel has A/C (big deal in the heatwave while there). You can also request ice at the desk or breakfast, which was also needed during the historic heatwave. We were able to go about our tours with steel water bottles full of icy water. (Tip: the word for ice cubes is pronounced ice-verfull). The German word for ice cream is "eis", which led to a funny look asking for ice water. ;) The rooms were quiet, even with a high school group there, we never heard anything. The food at breakfast was -the best- we experienced on this trip. We adressed a repeated issue with a rude employee with the hotel, hopefully they take action on that.
People talk about the U-bahn station at the corner, it didn't go anywhere we could use. More importantly, its a quick block and a half down the street to the main Am Harras stop for most trains and a bus stop. Very useful to know! There is also a DM store (think CVS or Walgreens) within a very short walk. The area felt very safe.

We arrived late at night only to find out that the hot water boiler was broken and the hotel had no hot water all three nights we stayed there. They made it up by providing free buffet breakfast and they also offered a 25% discount on our stay, but to be honest we haven’t yet seen the refund

The biggest minus were that the ventilation in the bathroom didn’t work and all the moist and smells entered the room, but we have informed the staff and they will fix it.
The second minus was lack of a fridge in the room, which is unexpected for a 4-star hotel.
Otherwise, everything else was fine.
