Good location, extensive buffet breakfast.

A large and comfortable hotel in a very good location in Munich. The rooms are comfortable. They don't put certain things like slippers in the room from the start. Request it from reception. The breakfast is very good. However, I think they had a promotion on Sundays; apparently, it was free for children. That's why it gets so crowded. Overall we were satisfied.

The hotel is very well located. The staff is helpful without being invasive. The room and common areas are new and clean. Breakfast is excellent with a huge choice of very good quality. Definitely recommended!

Great value comfortable break, within walking distance of the centre

Excellent stay at Novotel Muenchen City.
Friendly welcome upon arrival with the lady on reception happy to recommend local restaurants which was really appreciated.
The hotel looks basic from the outside but the lobby and reception area are well appointed.
The room was much bigger than expected and had everything we needed.
We knew that the hotel was not bang in the centre of Munich but were pleasantly surprised at how close it actually was to the centre and lots of the main attractions; it was easily within walking distance for us although up a slight incline once back across the river (for anyone with mobility needs).
An excellent stay and would recommend for a great value comfortable break.

Disappointing Stay Despite a Good Locatin and breakfast

The staff at the reception were not friendly or welcoming. We arrived very late at night, and they denied that we had requested a larger room, even though we had been promised one.
The rooms are extremely small, and even the bathroom is so tiny that it is difficult to move around comfortably. There was also an unpleasant smell in the room, and it did not feel properly ventilated.
The only positive aspects were the breakfast and the location.
There is no free parking at the hotel, and when the hotel parking was full, we were directed to another parking facility, which we also had to pay for.
Overall, the experience was disappointing, especially considering what we had been promised before our arrival.

Great hotel experience! Travelled with a family - 4 people. Family suite was spacious to fit all of us in, beds were set up ahead of time. Time was very helpful and accommodate an early check-in due to morning plane arrival. Restaurant had a broad menu and morning breakfast was excellent. All in all - very happy with our stay
