Best hostels I've ever stayed!
I would give it 6 stars if possible!
The place is super inviting, cozy, friendly, respectful, staff is very kind and helpful, the beds are great and people were very respectful in the room.
Also, bathrooms always very clean!
Highly recommend it!

Just ok
Only air is in lounge area. Bedrooms had a fan for each bed. Shower doors don’t open very wide and no where to place toiletries. Liked that there were elevators and it was across the street from main train station and trams. Also liked the lockers in the room, that there was a bench to sit at and you could pull curtains on your bed for privacy. Not a very loud or party scene but to keep cool you have to have windows open letting in a lot of morning noise from trucks and other things.

NO AIR CONDITIONING
I had to leave earlier; it was impossible to sleep in the room because it was too hot; it made me sick; no air conditioning; fortunately, the staff was nice.

Free cancellation request- due to war crisis and airspace/travel shutdown
Request for a free cancellation ASAP as a safety & security exception
Hi Wombat's City Hostel Munich Hauptbahnhof,
I am writing once again regarding the urgent need for a free cancellation of my booking scheduled for 6–9 March. I have been contacting you repeatedly since 1 March, yet there has been no response whatsoever from your side. Instead, my request for free cancellation was declined without any consideration of the extremely critical circumstances involved.
As I have clearly communicated earlier, there is an active war crisis and a complete airspace shutdown across the Middle East, which directly impacts all flights from India to Europe. My official travel has been cancelled by my organization for the same reason, and I have attached/mentioned the flight and accommodation cancellation confirmations below as proof.
In this situation, travel is objectively impossible, and thousands of passengers are stranded due to safety and geopolitical risks. It is deeply concerning that the hostel is not taking into account the severity of the situation, especially when this is a matter of human safety and uncontrollable global events, not a personal change of plan.
By denying an exceptional free cancellation under these conditions, it appears that the hostel is choosing to prioritize strict business policies over customer safety and humanitarian considerations. I sincerely hope this is not the intention, which is why I am requesting once again—clearly, formally, and urgently—that my booking be cancelled without penalty as an exceptional case.
If the hostel still refuses to provide a free cancellation despite the clear evidence of force majeure, please send me an official written confirmation stating that the request has been denied under these extraordinary circumstances.

Once I receive your formal decision, I will proceed to escalate the matter by sharing the full timeline and evidence through:
* Booking/Hostelworld customer support
* Relevant consumer‑rights channels
* Public travel review platforms and social media channels

For the very young
Very nice for the very young, but for me, an adult woman, the bed was uncomfortable, putting the sheets on it, was a daunting task. And the roof of the bed was too low both the one below and the one above.
