Beautiful rooms with french interior

Perfect to stay with bicycles and babies. All rooms are in different colours. The Dependance belongs to the Art Hotel Neckar. That means, the reception and breakfast is 20 meter over the street. We stayed for 1 night and everything was uncomplicated. We got 2 baby betts. The rooms were clean and equiped with beautiful furniture. Credit cards are accepted.

Terrible hotel

This is a terrible hotel with a terribly rude service especially towards foreigners. They have tried to use every tiny corner in the attic to make a separate room, hence the rooms are very small with a tiny hole as a window. There is kitchen on the ground floor which is extremely antihygienic.
Overall: a terrible stay.

Ok for a night

I stayed here one night because of a wedding. I had a single room and it was tiny and pretty bare. And when Germans say a single room, this often means a single bed as was the case here. I basically only needed a place to get ready and to sleep so it wasn't too bad. The bed had a black wrought-iron frame and to be honest wasn't all that comfortable.
The bathroom had a nice big tub which I didn't get a chance to use to it was pretty high and hard to step into or out of - so anyone older or with an injury will definitely have a problem.
I did have an issue with the paper thin walls. I could hear everyone who came back even later than I did - some people are just rude and stomp up the stairs even though it's the middle of the night. It sounded like they were in my room.
Check in is across the street at the Art Hotel (this is also where breakfast is served).
I almost had a shock when I was shown to my room. The outside of Die Dependence looks very run down - I can only hope this is the next step of the restoration process.
There is also no elevator so not suitable for anyone who has trouble with stairs.
Breakfast was buffet style and was fine. A variety of breads, cereals, cold cuts, cheese, jams and yogurt. The typical German hotel breakfast.
Overall I did think it was slightly overpriced - especially considering the size of the room and the façade of the building.
They could have been a complimentary bottle of water in the room. Especially as there is nowhere in the vicinity you can buy one - especially on the weekend.
There is also no parking - you have to park at the parking structure that's a few minutes away. If you are lucky you can find a space in front of the hotel to unload your luggage and get checked in.

Dirty room, unfriendly staff

We stayed in this highly overpriced hotel for just one night. The room was very dirty and run-down. Upon our complaint, the reception staff reacted very rude. The video on the website tells a very wrong story. We will never use this hotel again.

Broken Bed, WC farce

We too were in the annexe and although we had a good view across the rooftops the room was very small and the bed very low. I was too tired to check until morning on why the bed was so uncomfortable. I lifted to mattress to find the main spar was not connected. The staff repaired it, offered us a a small 20 euro discount and the offer of an unspecified second night discount. My wife was unable to unlock the wc door on the landing. The repair man was still in the room and helped open the door but this was the last straw. Paid and left after a good breakfast.
