Nice for hiking

The hotel was good and the food tasty. Very good for this category. We also felt very comfortable with dog. All the snow was a nice experience, but as a result hiking trails were not accessible. I didn't find anything worth seeing in the village.

Good hotel with friendly staff

We spent a nice short break in this hotel. The room was nice and clean. The staff at meals was very friendly and nimble. Also the staff at the reception. It is a good central place for beautiful walks. Thank you for the lovely days. Family A. Schulz

Feel-good oasis

We spent a few wonderful days here at the Hotel Kammweg. The whole staff is very friendly and always made sure that guests are well. Despite a lot of work, the employees always have a few words to say. The sauna area and swimming pool are very nice and very clean. In short, we felt completely comfortable and would love to come back

Nice hotel with good value for money for hiking holidays or family holidays

Nice hotel with good value for money in good location to hiking trails and cross-country ski trails on the Rennsteig. We stayed as a family in a family room and had half board. The rooms are clean and relatively large and breakfast and dinner were adequate and good. Dinner was buffet style and there was daily soup, salad buffet, 2 meats or fish dishes and a vegetarian dish as well as cheese, sausage and baguette. Located in the village of Neustadt am Rennsteig, hiking trails and numerous groomed trails start not far from the hotel. The hotel is recommended for a hiking holiday, family holiday definitely.

Recommended

Very nice location. Directly on the Rennsteig . Very friendly staff, extra requests were no problem.
The rooms have a fantastic view of the Thuringian Forest. The restaurant is large and bright with an exceptional panoramic view. Food is good, but at about 30 euros per person (buffet) expensive.
Or you can choose only one plate (about 18 euros) .
The hotel is a 3 star hotel but for the price and what else you get (pool, sauna) to recommend from me.
