A great spot.

Nice small-scale hotel in an excellent location. Good, slightly dated bedroom with very good modern shower (room 2). Excellent breakfast.
But most importantly: extremely friendly and service-oriented hostess and host, as you don't often find. And then La Boutique, an accompanying bar with friendly and expert service. Nice to sit and have something to drink

It's okay; it remains a bland aftertaste

The accommodation certainly offers a very central location and also acceptable amenities, yet somehow remains an aftertaste in terms of value for money.
Location: Located in a half-timbered building in the backyard directly on the Neustadt market square and accordingly super central. Parking is available in the area. Due to the location it is also very quiet (if you disturb yourself at church tower bells, the location does not fit).
Hotel: The rooms are located on the second floor of the half-timbered building; the reception is on the first floor. Everything looks very rustic. The rooms are only accessible via very steep and narrow stairs. The check-in was very friendly and customer-oriented. Overall, the manager is very solution-oriented.
Rooms: Sufficiently large room on the second floor with correspondingly partly white rustic furnishings and comfortable bed. The bathroom is quite small and was obviously renovated not long ago. The room could be cleaner here and there; the bathroom is very clean.
Breakfast: Originally booked, but then cancelled again (thanks to simple communication with the manager). Unfortunately, it is stated online that everything is included in the a la carte breakfast and only drinks go extra. On the order sheet in the room you can see, however, that only basics are included and e.g. sausage, cheese, eggs, etc. have to be paid extra.

Great location!

Small antic hotel, with only six rooms, which are to be reached by a small steep stairs, unfortunately no luggage assistance. Rooms are simple with basic amenities. WiFi is not functional well, so the TV. When opening the window shades the view exposes in about four meter distance a massive shopping centre building ruin from about 15 years ago.
On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent; location properly the best in town, owner/manager very friendly and flexible.

Comfortable, right in the center of the old town, renovated shower room

Building located in the old town, at the end of a courtyard, close to the church and the town hall square. Beautiful old half-timbered building.
Owners (a couple around 60 years old) very friendly and welcoming.
Large rooms with good bedding, a real wardrobe and a pretty, very functional shower room (with a walk-in shower and clever additional ceiling heating). Very efficient WiFi in the bedroom and breakfast room.
Affordable breakfast (€11.80) and very varied. Very popular espresso machine. Croissants and fresh bread. Fresh fruits.

The bells, the bells

This is just off the pedestrianised area of the main town square, but excellent for accessibility, price and facilities particularly if dining in Urgestein downstairs. The bells are really loud, but they don't run through the night, so are quite impressive at other times.
