Nice hotel on the lake
The hotel is located just outside the city center (10 min walk to the city center). nice located on a lake and little park (walk around the lake is 2KM). There is a restaurant next door. Breakfast was until 12! and very good incl warm food as well. Room was spacious and get a room with lake view.

Book the hotel without meals for a better experience!
Very unfortunate! A few years ago, we were with our group at the hotel with half board and had a really good memory of it.
Unfortunately, the restaurant is no longer recommended. The staff were hopelessly overwhelmed. In the evenings, we waited up to 2 hours for our food. Total chaos in the dining area. We had the impression that hotel guests were served particularly slowly. Even at breakfast, the tables were only set for external guests—we felt very poorly served and definitely not welcome!

Not optimal, poor organization.
We had booked the Sylvester package with several people. We were promised a champagne reception with all guests, this never happened. In our rooms we were welcomed with sparkling wine and fruit, which was very positive. The rooms are a bit old and should be refreshed a bit. It's clean, though. The first night was a gala dinner? At Pier 99, so a gala dinner definitely looks different. Other guests reported the other location in the brewery. Taxi included, just nobody knew. Musical accompaniment and 25 euros extra per person for mediocre food. Drinks extra. In the afternoon there should be a mulled wine challenge with surprise. The surprise was that there was none. Cake from the chest and tomato soup with buckwurst was offered, oh yes mulled wine was also offered, only where was the chellange? On Nschfrage it was said ksnn not take place. The New Year's Eve was very nice and well designed. What we still noticed very negatively was the boss of the house, who treats your guests very unkindly. We were 8 people and had our fun, but we already expected the program to be fulfilled.

Promising more than the hotel actually offers
Staying as a couple in this hotel for visiting family nearby. For the price range it is lacking attention for detail (only cheap shower gel, furniture getting worn out, breakfast tables not cleaned up) - a disaster was the bed - after 3 hours i woke up with back pain. I reported this to the reception next morning when it was staffed and they only thanked me for informing them.
Only positive aspect for the quite high price was the decent and extensive breakfast buffet.
Would not come back when visiting family here.

NIce place - bad service, poor management
Forst of all: Lovely location, overlooking a lake. Consequently, I asked for a room with lakeview. I was told I have one, but found out it was to the back side (road with pretty good traffic. When I reported back to front desk, they told me that there was no way I could get a lakeside room, or I would have to pay double (!) the nightly price ... At booking.com, I checked that rooms with laveview were available, at just 10€ extra. I asked again to contact management whether I could get such a room at a surcharge. The answer was "No" - I filed a complaint letter to management which I never received a response to.
The air condition could not be switched off, same as in other rooms.
Sauna was switched on on request - however staff left sauna door open, thus the sauna area was pretty warm, but the sauna itself only lukewarm. Happened on both nights of my stay ...
The room itselve is quite nice, also the restaurant area is looking nice. However, the foold is pretty plain, very long waiting time for food and drinks, staff very nice, but not competent.
The hotel has displays all over telling that the client is in the center of everyting the hotel staff does. Maybe so, but definitively ownership and management could not care less about their guests´satisfaction.
