Good location, close to pedestrian zone and shops/restaurants. Parking garage is about a 4 minute walk, the hotel offers a slightly discounted rate. Air consition worked great during one of the hottest days of the year. The bathroom needs some maintenance, as there was mold all along the caulk at the bottom of the shower. Other than that, a good place to stay to explore downtown Nuremberg.

This is best for budget conscious travelers who literally just a need a clean, safe room for a one-night stay in good location. The economy room in particular is ideal for a solo traveler, it’s as small and bare bones on amenities as indicated in other reviews. It has only what you need, no more. Be aware that the front desk is not 24/7 and only has one person on duty at a time. You will be waiting if they are helping another guest or arrive late for their shift (both happened during my stay!). The desk hours are the worst on Sundays so they won’t be able to store personal items past 2pm.

Exceeded our expectations even though the room was fairly compact. Great use of space with cubbies storage area for clothing. Clean and updated. Soft bed. The Hotel Gideon located within the altstadt/old town city walls of Nuremberg. Just a short walk from the train station/Hbf. Very friendly and hospitable at the front desk. Would enjoy staying here again. Did not have the breakfast. Loved spending time seeing everything right outside the hotel.

Rooms are simple, but comfortable. Location is fabulous, and car park is very close. Great location for walki g around Nuremberg

Room was clean and overlooked one of the main streets so we like the liveliness but may not be for others who are looking for a quieter place. We enjoyed our stay of 1 night. We did not try breakfast. We were able to leave our bags with the front desk after check out. Their front desk is not open 24 hours so those arriving or late will have to use a lockbox.
