Not So INVITing
We were told storing our luggage wasn’t possible and were advised to leave it in the car until the room was ready. Inconvenient, but we accepted it. Then, with two five-year-olds in tow and 37°C heat outside, we were told to wait in the small, un-air-conditioned reception area rather than the empty (and clearly larger) dining area next to it — being informed, rather sharply, that the dining area was off-limits.
For the next several minutes, the four of us shared two seats while we debated whether to just wait it out. In the background, we could hear the reception staff cursing — in both German and English, including the F-word — about the heat and about guests. When my husband politely asked, in German, whether the rooms had air conditioning (we couldn’t recall from booking), he was snapped at: “Did you read that anywhere? Does it look like we have air conditioning right now?” By that point we’d been standing in the lobby for about ten minutes with two young children, with no seating offered and not even a glass of water.
All told, it took less than ten minutes for this to erase the warm welcome we’d come to expect from every other hotel on our trip — enough that we decided to cut our losses and book somewhere else for the night. On the bright side, we found a lovely alternative and ended up having a fantastic 24 hours in Nuremberg regardless.
Overall: the staff here were unfriendly, rude, and made us deeply uncomfortable with their expletive-laden complaints about the weather and guests — especially with our children present.

Good location, nice breakfast, beautiful but rather dated furniture
The furniture in the room and wardrobe seems to resemble the one from previous century in a good way but needs some repairs.
No electricity sockets but the beds, but there are some in the room.
Comfortable desk and chair if you need to work.
Rather big bathroom with a nice mirror and very good hair dryer. Not quite mold yet but some black lines in the shower and the shower water pressure could be stronger, but my hubby said it’s because of old equipment. All was good with tap water pressure.
Very nice location as close to the old town.
The breakfast was decent and delicious. We went quite early in the morning and it had a good choice of everything.
