Beautifully situated in nature, panoramic view

Beautifully located in nature. After a short time you can forget everything. Great panoramic view from the light-flooded restaurant. The salmon is excellent and the dessert (chocolate cake) was especially delicious for my wife. Every wish was read to us by the attentive service. We have been coming here for years and also use the small but fine swimming pool. Since the new hotel manager arrived, we like it even better here

Unfortunately not my case.

A very large, somewhat dated hotel. The location is really beautiful in the countryside. Unfortunately, the rooms are very old and a bit run down. The breakfast was unfortunately very bad and not recommended. There were plenty of parking spaces.
Unfortunately, there wasn't a single power socket by the bed and the pressure in the shower head left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, I wouldn't come back and can't recommend it either.

schade dass es Ihnen bei uns nicht gefallen hat. Was mich wirklich an Ihrer Bewertung irritiert, ist Ihr Kommentar zum Frühstück. Wir haben über graved Lachs, Räucherlach, Wurstspezialitäten, ...... wirklich alles was das Herz begehrt. Bezüglich der Steckdosen wundere ich mich ebenso. Direkt über dem Beistelltisch am Bett ist jeweils auf jeder Seite eine Steckdose. Über Ihr Kompliment bezüglich unserer Lage freuen wir uns natürlich.
Wir wünschen Ihnen natürlich für Ihre nächsten Urlaube eine erholsame Zeit.

Beautiful hotel in the middle of nature tucked between rolling hills. Lots of activities, clean facilities and plenty of meeting spaces.

Dog unfriendly

We were just walking in the area and wanted to stop for coffee/cake, like in the past.
The restaurant/café was completely empty, there were two waiters, but we were turned away because they were unfortunately not allowed to tolerate the small dog.
Conclusion: If you don't like my dog, you don't need my money... Recommended alternative: "Prinz von Hessen" in Friedewald,
dogs are always welcome there.

Sehr geehrter Hr. Metz,
wir haben uns entschieden, dass in unserem Restaurant aus hygienischen Gründen (Teppichboden) und zur Rücksichtnahme auf andere Gäste keine Hunde zugelassen sind. Das heißt ganz sicher nicht, dass wir keine Hunde mögen. Viele unserer Mitarbeiter haben selbst Hunde.
Ansonsten wünschen wir Ihnen natürlich eine schöne Zeit mit Ihrem vierbeinigen Freund, und verstehen, dass Sie nur mit Ihm zum Essen gehen möchten.

I was needing assistance for repairing an equipment. People at the reception were just super. Good restaurant (Sander) and good breakfast.
