A mid-range pension, reasonably priced in beautiful surroundings. Relatively close to the Nebelhorn cable car and the strolling mile. Calm

Located in the center of Oberstdorf, with beautiful surroundings ( meadow ), outdoor pool. Nice staff and good breakfast. Parking in front of the house

Great value for money, great location/great view, highly recommended!

Great value for money, extensive breakfast buffet, spacious and quiet room, everything clean, what more could you want?!? I was satisfied because the hotel is located in a quiet corner of Oberstdorf (view of the mountains), but everything in the city is within walking distance (restaurants, shops, train station, etc.). In the evening I found it nice to sit down on one of the many comfortable seating areas in the building or have a little something for dinner in the restaurant in the basement.
Just a tiny point deduction for the limited friendliness at reception, I was served much more friendly and courteous as a hotel guest!

Lovely spot in Oberstdorf

I enjoyed my time in Hotel Kappeler-Haus. The room was comfortable (if on the small side) and the location was great. It was a fair walk from the train station but so are a lot of hotels. The view of the mountains from my balcony was lovely to wake up to. The lack of English spoken by the staff proved challenging at times, but nothing insurmountable.
The two things to be aware of are that the church bells ring every 15mins and if you run into traffic in town, it's usually a group of cows! Both brought charm to the town.

Slightly disappointed.

Staff very helpful and breakfast fine but very poor soundproofing in bedrooms lets this hotel down. Bathroom modern if small, but bedroom slightly tired and a bit on small side. Balcony with view of mountains was good and hotel has outdoor pool and patio area although we did not use it.

Das Haus liegt super, man ist in 5 Minuten zu Fuß in der Mitte von Oberstdorf. Die Zimmer sind gut und das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es direkt am Haus. Wir werden bald wiederkommen! Keine Frage!
